Epic Games has confirmed a previous report that Fortnite Blitz Royale would be extended an additional four weeks to Aug. 12!

Blitz Royale has rapidly become one of the most beloved game modes in Fortnite. The fast-paced, chaotic Zero Build limited-time mode (LTM) resonated with players instantly, and Epic Games has taken note. Despite Blitz Royale set to conclude on July 15, the Fortnite developers have extended its lifespan.

The game mode will now officially remain active until Aug. 12, adding four weeks to the recently announced end date of July 15. Furthermore, each additional week will welcome one of Fortnite's many collaborations back for a limited time.

Epic Games has extended Blitz Royale until Aug. 12

While leakers circulated this report late last month, an official announcement arrived in-game on July 9. It follows the most recent update, which added Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles weapons to the game mode. Given Blitz Royale's popularity, it was only natural for Epic Games to extend it for another four weeks.

This extension will keep the LTM around until July 15, at which point Epic needs to decide whether it should become permanent or not. In any case, Blitz Royale fans can rejoice with more fun and collaborations.

What can I expect during the extended weeks?

ShiinaBR was the first to report that items and weapons from the following collaborations will appear over the extended weeks:

Beyond that, another in-game notification indicated that more Boons, map changes, and weapons will rotate in and out from now until Aug. 12. Only time will tell if Epic decides the LTM is popular enough to remove the limited tag from it.

The numbers don't lie

Unquestionably, fans have connected with Blitz Royale more than other game modes of late. It has averaged anywhere from 100,000 to 140,000 players over the last week alone, and it's regularly the most-played game mode in Fortnite.

That should help explain why Epic has so much faith in Fortnite Blitz Royale to warrant extending it. With more collaborations and map changes on the way, you can enjoy the LTM for at least another four weeks.
