Doja Cat ranting about Fortnite is not something we expected…
It's no secret that celebrities and gaming have been intertwined for decades. However, it's not every day that you see a Grammy Award-winning pop artist ranting about Fortnite every day. Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, better known as Doja Cat, has gone viral for an expletive-laden rant about Fortnite and its players.
While it's not something we had on our bingo card for 2024, here's what Doja Cat had to say about Fortnite.
Doja Cat strongly dislikes Waterbending and Chains of Hades in Fortnite
Waterbending and the Chains of Hades are two new items introduced in Fortnite's latest season. These items allow players to hurl ice at opponents and pull them toward them. Doja Cat believes that it does not require any level of skill. She even offered some advice on how to fix Fortnite.
"FORTNITE WOULDN'T BE SO FU***** EMBARRASSING IF THEY MADE LOBBIES WHERE PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL AIM SKILLS AND FPS EXPERIENCE DIDN'T DEAL WITH LOSERS USING FU***** WATER BENDING AND CHAINS OF HADES.
Yes, she wrote the entire X post, including f-words, in all caps. Although we've all been there, most people who play and rage at Fortnite don't do so in front of 5.6 million followers.
She continued, explicitly calling out those who rely on Waterbending.
"WATER BENDING IS A FU***** CRUTCH YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT THE GAME BECAUSE OF WATER BENDING, I WOULD BECOME SEVERELY DEPRESSED IF I HAD TO RELY ON ANY OF THESE STUPID NON FU***** WEAPONS."
Interestingly, Epic Games disabled the Chains of Hades coincidentally following Doja Cat's Fortnite tirade.

Considering the game has been out for seven years, this energy shows Fortnite's lasting relevance. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 launches next week. We'll be curious to see what Doja Cat may or may not criticize.
