Fortnite content creator Jack "CouRageJD" Dunlop has revealed the full details of his Icon Series collaboration, including a skin to match his likeness. This followed Epic Games' "trolling" of CouRage that his dog, Louis, would become an Icon Series member before him. Sure enough, the crossover is set in stone, and we have all the details.
Fortnite x CouRageJD Icon Series: All skins, cosmetics, pricing, and release date
CouRageJD revealed that they embarked on this collaborative effort with Epic Games on May 1, 2024. Well over one year later, the creator can officially call himself a member of the Fortnite Icon Series. He began the reveal with a cinematic trailer, featuring CouRage's friends and fellow Icons Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, Nick "Nick Eh 30" Amyoony, and Ali "SypherPK" Hassan.
Afterward, the creator detailed his entry into the Fortnite Icon Series. Firstly, CouRageJD's base Icon Series skin is a spitting image of himself, featuring a few alternate styles, including one with a white jacket and another with a black jacket.
You will notice CouRage's lion crest branding prominently throughout the collaboration, such as on his chain, Pickaxe, Back Bling, and the knight version of his skin. Beyond the skins that capture CouRageJD's likeness, the crossover includes a "Final Boss" version. This consists of a black-and-red or white-and-gold knight, fully armored, with the lion logo embedded in the chest plate.
Adding on to that is something we've seen with the more recent Icon Series collaborations. CouRageJD has chosen to reimagine the classic Red Knight Fortnite skin, incorporating the creator's color scheme, branding, and logo. However, it still retains many of the original features.
Last but not least, here are a few other cosmetics you can find in the CouRageJD Bundle. Those include a lion-themed Pickaxe and Back Bling, LEGO versions, Wrap, and two Emotes. There's also CouRage's dog, "Louis," who will become the first Icon Series Sidekick in Fortnite history.
Those looking to grab the CouRageJD Icon Series Bundle will receive everything outlined above, and it will cost you 3,000 V-Bucks. The collaboration will land in-game at 7 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
CouRageJD Icon Series Cup tournament announced
As with most of the Fortnite Icon Series collaborations, there will be a CouRage Icon Cup tournament. This will occur on Saturday, Dec. 13, across all competitive regions. Those who compete and place first in their respective competition will receive the entire CouRageJD Fortnite Bundle, including the skin, 4 days early.
Additionally, those who compete and earn at least eight points will receive a 100 Thieves Emoticon. For those who don't know, CouRage is a co-owner of the esports organization. We previously saw an XSET Emoticon for Clix's Icon Series collaboration.
CouRage also announced several other components of his Fortnite collab, including a Fortnite tournament called the CouRage Clash featuring other creators and a $100,000 prize pool. 100 Thieves also launched a merch drop themed to CouRageJD's Icon skin.
Overall, it's a moment CouRageJD has worked on for a long time, and an opportunity every creator hopes will present itself one day. There's a lot to digest, but you can also catch CouRage using his Fortnite skin in-game for the first time this Thursday.
