VSFighting XII: The power of fighting World Tours

VSFighting XII is the biggest fighting games esports event in the United Kingdom, but thanks to the main tournaments, it shoots much higher and reaches the global level. TEKKEN 8, Guilty Gear Strive, DBFZ, and other games have their global league qualifiers of the highest level. This attracts the strongest players and makes VSFighting XII streams super interesting.

Mo.Sin defeated Neffros twice in this tournament — in the winners final and the grand final. Both matches were super close, and they brought Mo.Sin a direct invite to the Arc World Tour 2024 Finals event.

bubblan won the KOF XV tournament after defeating FKang in two final matches.

Tiger_Pop made it to the grand final via the losers brackets. In the decisive fight, he literally destroyed his opponent, Setchi. It is quite interesting that for some matchups Tiger_Pop switched from his usual main, Happy Chaos, to one of the newer characters, A.B.A.

A local hero, OBAssassin, won this DBFZ World Tour 2024 Power event. He defeated FullMetalFury in the winners final and Noka in the grand final. Once again at a top-level event, no one played the Fiusions on the top 8, and there was only one Lab Coat.

Socky from Germany won the Platinum AWT 2024 qualifier. He played Nier, one of the strongest characters in the current build.

Mulgold had a tough time playing against KingReyJr. Only switching from Claudio to Feng, helped the Korean player win. This victory made Mulgold the leader of the TWT 2024 standings.

The importance of VSFighting XII as a host for global league qualifiers is significant. Not only do the world-level fighting games celebrities get another chance to earn precious standing points and direct invites, but also many local players have an opportunity to prove their skills and potentially qualify for the Finals. For UNI2, this event is even more special. While other Arc System Works games have lower-rank qualifiers (Gold) with standing points distributed, the Under Night global league consists of only these Platinum invites.

The World Tour for Dragon Ball FighterZ started with CEO 2024, so the road is longer here than for other games. Still, players prefer to fight for the standing points here and now, and this early stage is quite intense.

This tournament is a Power event, with the biggest number of points. As VSFighting XII happens in the UK, it’s a chance for local and European players to reach high placements in the global leaderboard — before the DBFZ World Tour 2024 moves to other regions. There is no leaderboard for The King of Fighters XV — the SNK World Championship 2025 is based only on direct invites for winners of the biggest KOF XV esports events. VSFighting XII is one of them.
