Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024 is one of the biggest fighting games esports events in Europe. It happened from Sept. 13 to Sept. 15, and many top-level competitors from all over the globe traveled to France to participate in the seven World Tour/Championship qualifiers. The King of Fighters XV
When Xiaohai participates in a KOF XV event, there are not too many chances for his opponents to win. It’s what happened at UFA 2024! Xiaohai played Kyo, Benumaru, and Isla. With this team, he lost no matches and no games in the top 8 brackets.
As a KOF XV Evo 2024 champion, Xiaohai has already qualified for the SNK World Championship 2025 Finals. Therefore, the invite goes to the 2nd player at Ultimate Fighting Arena — Tamago, with the team Rock, Benimaru, and Ryo.
Let’s not forget that Xiaohai also participates in the Street Fighter 6 tournament. He is the SF6 Esports World Cup 2024 Champion after all.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
Kojicoco and Zane came from the US to participate in this tournament. And they both reached the winners final via the parallel brackets, defeating European opponents on the way. Kojicoco played Belial. Zane switched between Avatar Belial and Grimnir.
Kojicoco won a very close winners final and then got a clear 3:0 victory in the grand final. It’s an invite to the Arc World Tour Finals 2024 for him!
For Zane, UFA 2024 was not over yet. He has reached the top 8 in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Guilty Gear Strive — DLC magic
The top 4 competitors in the UFA 2024 Guilty Gear Strive tournament played DLC characters. Is this really helpful? Sure, we could see classic mains, such as Happy Chaos for Tiger_Pop, but the DLC trend was pretty notable.
Zando was on Asuka, and his magic spells were super effective. With 3:1s in each of the top 8 matches, Zando won and got his Arc World Tour 2024 Finals qualification.
Tiger_Pop was another hero of this tournament. He made it to the grand final via the losers brackets. The matches vs Verix (the AWT 2023 champion) and Jason Thomas were A.B.A vs Slayer, Season 3 characters in action.

Uni2 — Caught in web
Once again, Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] proved how nicely balanced its meta is. No character was present twice in the top 8 of Uni2 UFA 2024. The variety of archetypes allows players to pick up their best fighters and express themselves through the competition.
The American competitor BigBlack played Byakuya throughout the tournament, setting web traps on the stages for his opponents. This helped BigBlack reach the grand final without losing a game. In the decisive match, he faced Kuon of Mo.Sin for the second time, and however hard the opponent tried to succeed with long-reaching fire-like strikes of this newer character, BigBlack still won the tournament with a 3:1.
BigBlack is invited to the Arc World Tour 2024 Uni2 Finals. As for all the other participants, the only chance to be at that event is to win a Platinum qualifier. Just a few of them left after Ultimate Fighting Arena.

Dragon Ball FighterZ — Yasha team strives
With Wawa retired from pro DBFZ, Yasha is no doubt the best French player within this game. Can he prove being the best in the entire world?
After the huge patch, Yasha has been actively practicing new teams (Nappa team, Goku Black team). Still in the Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024 DBFZ tournament, Yasha played his signature team: Blue Gogeta, Vegito, and Android 17. That worked perfectly! In the semi, Yasha defeated OBAssassin. In the final and grand final, Yasha won over WADE. He literally destroyed his opponents.
It’s the third Power event win for Yasha during this World Tour. He is most certainly playing in the Global Finals. Also, it’s the second back-to-back UFA win for Yasha. These achievements are quite impressive!
The American player Zane, finished 5th here. He is one of two players at UFA 2024 with two top 8 placements. It's also GBVSR for Zane. The other player is Xiaohai, who won KOF XV and was second at the SF6 tournament.

TEKKEN 8 — the power to nerf
ULSAN won the TEKKEN 8 tournament at the Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024. He played his main character, Dragunov.
The might of this character is well, known, and the developers promissed to nerf Dragunov in the upcoming TEKKEN 8 patch. The announcement about reducing damage with some characters, such as Dragunov and Nine, was made in the TEKKEN 8 Patch Notes 1.07.
ULSAN is currently second on the TEKKEN World Tour 2024 leaderboard. AK, who finished 2nd at UFA 2024, reached place 6. The only American player in the top 8 of UFA 2024 is Cuddle Core.

Street Fighter 6 — Hadouken
This could be the second victory for Xiaohai at Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024. After the KOF XV, he entered the SF6 top 8 via the losers brackets. With the power of M. Bison on his side, Xiaohai reached the semi — and to avoid a mirror match against Problem X switched to Cammy. This character took Xiaohai to the grand final.
The local player Kusanagi demonstrated the power of Ryu, the main Street Fighter protagonist, and his classic moves, such as the legendary Hadouken. He defeated Zangief of Zangief_bolado and Chun-Li of Valmaster in the winners side. The first match vs Xiaohai did not go well for Kusanagi, but then he recovered and defeated the EWC 2024 champion.

We are pretty close to the end of competitive seasons for most big fighting titles. UFA 2024 hosts qualifiers of the highest ranks, and the best players compete here to grind for standing points.
Street Fighter 6
The UFA 2024 Street Fighter 6 tournament is also a CPT Premier event. The main reward is a direct invite to Capcom Cup 11. Such titans as Daigo Umehara, Big Bird, Oil King, and Nephew are battling for such a chance.
After UFA 2024, there will be only three Premier and two Super Premier CPT tournaments.
TEKKEN 8
This fighting game has a Challenger TEKKEN World Tour 2024 event at Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024. It’s not the highest Master rank, and still, it’s a chance to earn valuable TWT points.
Quite a few top players from the global leaderboard registered for TEKKEN 8 UFA 2024: ULSAN, AK, CBM, KEISUKE, and others.
The TEKKEN World Tour 2024 is about to end soon. Only one Master qualifier remains; it’s Thaiger Uppercut 2024 on Oct. 6. As for Challenger events, there will be three after UFA.
Arc World Tour 2024: GGST, GBVSR, and Uni2
Three fighting games developed by Arc System Works have Platinum qualifiers at Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024. The winners will proceed directly to the Finals event.

For the Uni2 community, it’s a unique chance to participate in the Arc World Tour 2024, as there are no Gold or Silver qualifiers for this game.
For GGST and GBVSR, there will be only two Platinum events after UFA 2024: Battle Coliseum 2024 on Nov. 17 and Frosty Faustings XVII on Jan. 26. Beyond that, the competitors can grind for AWT points at smaller Gold/Silver tournaments.
The King of Fighters XV
With all the hype around Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, this game is still the primary one at the SNK World Championship 2025. The league has only direct qualifiers, with no point-based leaderboard. The winner of the KOF XV tournament at UFA 2024 joins the party at the Finals event.
Some players have already qualified for the SNK World Championship 2025 Finals, such as Xiaohai from Evo 2024, ViolentKain from Combo Breaker 2024, and E.T. from Evo Japan 2024.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
After the DBFZ Patch 1.38 was released, the World Tour competition became chaotic and especially interesting. How did the top player adapt to the new meta? Can new names appear on the top leaderboard?
DBFZ UFA 2024 is certainly a platform for French competitors to shine and earn points: Yasha (the winner at Emirates Showdown 2024), WADE, Noka, and Kasuga are here. Also, OBAssassin from the UK and Zane from the US registered for Ultimate Fighting Arena 2024.
