MultiVersus is finally ready for a full launch. The game was officially announced in November 2021. After that, a lengthy early access and open beta period took place between July 2022 and June 2023. After almost a year offline, we now have our MultiVersus release date.



You can jump into the fighting game filled with Warner Bros. properties come May 28, 2024. MultiVersus fans are gearing up to take their main into a battle, after waiting and waiting and waiting. Congratulations, your patience paid off.

Again, MultiVersus launches on May 28. We've got a handy countdown for you, just so you can clock the minutes and seconds left until the fighting game is available for everyone.

If you've stumbled across our countdown, but aren't sure what MultiVersus is, we highly recommend you brush up. We've got you covered with the gist of it, though.



It is a platform fighting, sort of like your Super Smash Bros. Every character is a Warner Bros. property of some sort. You've got DC heroes, Scooby Doo characters, and even Lebron James who played a part in the Space Jam sequel. 



It has multiple modes, but its main focus has been on a 2v2 setting. Characters have perks that can be used in tandem with their fighting partner to be extremely effective. You can try it out for yourself once that MultiVersus release date arrives.

The Joker was revealed as a new MultiVersus character. The personality of this villain adds a specific atmosphere to the game: something of unstoppable energy and limitless pranks. The Joker in MultiVersus is a mighty fighter with interesting gameplay mechanics.

Then, without keeping this a secret for too long, MultiVersus confirmed the Joker being the newest playable character. The reveal trailer features Batman, ready to fight his nemesis. We also can see other MultiVersus characters who apparently fell victims of the Joker: Bugs Bunny, Shaggy, and Arya Stark. The  Joker has even shown his weapon in the trailer, a rocket launcher.

The character is obviously a ranged archetype. The Joker uses three types of attacks.




Crowbarred — Chargeable hits. The Joker swings the weapon.



Dirty Dealer! — A magical card projectile that comes with three different effects.



Blastoff! — A chargeable rocket projectile.

The character joins the MultiVersus roster with the full release of this platformer fighting game on May 28, 2024.

MultiVersus is published by Warner Bros. Games, and the Joker is part of the DC Universe, which is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. It’s quite logical to expect the character to be present in other games, including fighters.

MultiVersus is playable on multiple platforms. You can get it on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and of course, PC. Its available through the likes of the Epic Games Store and Steam. MultiVersus system requirements

According to various posts online, Steam appears to have been banned in Vietnam as of May 7. Vietnamese users on Steam forums, Reddit, and other social media platforms state that their internet service provider (ISPs) are completely blocking access to the platform.



There is currently no official explanation from ISPs or the government for Steam's ban. However, people believe this may due to a large amount of the platform's content not adhering to local regulations.

Why is Vietnam banning Steam?



Various Vietnamese users on Steam, Reddit, and other social media all report the same thing. From one moment to the next, ISPs are banning all access to the Steam platform in Vietnam. The community on r/Helldivers humorously notes the timing of this occurring mere days after their victory over Sony's PSN requirement.



Users suspect Steam's ban to be an action by the Vietnamese government. One commenter on Steam reports an ISP support representative describing the order as "from above."



There is yet to be any official statements by any Vietnamese ISP or the government itself. However, a translation of this article reveals a possible motivation for Steam's ban in Vietnam.



In Vietnam, games featuring violence and other sensitive content require censorship in accordance with the law. Steam is reportedly distributing many "violent [and] adult games …but not asking permission."



The article also states that with no Steam office or official contact in Vietnam, "authorities are looking for solutions." It appears that the solution they are arriving at may be a total ban on Steam in Vietnam.

The Apex Legends Global Series Year 4 Split 1 finished on May 5. Over the course of the weekend, there were over 3,000 kills by dozens of different guns and grenades. However, one weapon dominated the field with over 800 kills alone. 



Here's what the pros used throughout the ALGS weekend to do the most damage and get the most kills.






Top 15 weapons by kills at ALGS Split 1



The most popular weapon by far for Year 4 Split 1 is the Havoc. This full auto energy weapon requires a little bit of a spin up before it fires, but pro players' game-sense make that an easy feat. 



The simple reason why the Havoc is so popular is that it shreds enemies in close to mid-range fights. The DPS for the Havoc is one of the highest in the game currently, making it a no-brainer choice.

In fact, the Havoc was so popular that the second place gun, the Hemlok, is behind by over 160 kills.

The Mozambique ranked at a shocking tenth in most kills. This is less of a testament to how good the Mozam is and more evidence that pros are forced to rely on the Digital Threat optic to gain an advantage. Good thing Respawn is shelving the Digi until it has a healthier place in the meta.

Damage doesn’t always equal kills in the pro league. Being able to poke enemies from a distance and force them into different positions can be just as important as securing kills. 



That’s why the Hemlok beat out the Havoc for damage in this Split, primarily because the windup needed for the Havoc can take too long for long-range shots.

<p>After a weekend of duking it out against the best of the best, Laggia took home the lion's share of the $175,000 prize pool and made King of Fighters XV (KOF XV) history! Laggia was among the top 32 players who fought on both days of the SWC 2023 Grand Final between March 16 and 17.</p>

<p>To reach the top, Laggia first bested Fkang and Koopadjt in the pool of 32 players. This earned him a spot among the top 16 competitors. Next, Laggia battled Ruben "PAKO" Partida and won 2-1, advancing him to the top 8. </p>

<p>Despite losing to M' 0-2 and getting kicked into the elimination bracket there, Laggia climbed his way back up after going 2-1 against E.T, sweeping Score 2-0, and defeating Xiaohai 3-0. When it came down to the Grand Final Reset, Laggia faced M' once again. This time, however, he won 3-2!</p>
