MultiVersus can now be played on PC and console. However, what about its ranked system and game modes? Can you unlock ranked in MultiVersus yet? Read on for all of the answers.

Does MultiVersus have ranked?

Not yet. Currently, the game's ranked mode is locked. Player First Games has not revealed the reason behind this.

MultiVersus ranked release date

The release date for ranked play in MultiVersus has not been revealed yet. However, judging from the screenshot we took of the locked mode, it will feature two-versus-two (2v2) and one-versus-one (1v1) battles.

How to unlock ranked mode in MultiVersus

When you enter the game, there are multiple modes from which to choose. These include the normal 2v2 and 1v1 modes alongside the training, local and custom game options. However, the ranked mode is currently locked. The description for it states, "Coming Soon!"

While it's currently unknown in terms of how to unlock ranked play in MultiVersus, you can still duke it out in the other modes and test out different team compositions depending if you're going for 1v1 or 2v2 matches. For example, in the training mode, you can customize games against bots and take some time to explore each fighter's moves.
