It’s the biggest fighting games esports event in Europe: more than 4,500 participants from 93 countries. Evo France 2025 features top-level official qualifiers and the first big early access tournament for 2XKO.

Europe is one of the most passionate regions for the fighting games community (FGC). Exciting events happen here regularly: VSFighting, UFA, Clash of the Olympians, and more. However, the brand of Evo performs miracles even here! Evo France happens in 2025 for the first time ever, and it’s an FGC celebration to remember.

The event includes seven main tournaments. Most of them are part of World Tours and Championships.

  • Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN 8, FATAL FURY CotW, Guilty Gear Strive, and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising — These games have the highest-tier qualifiers for their official leagues.
  • Dragon Ball FighterZ and Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact — It’s a love letter to the deep tradition tag-team fighters in France.

In addition to the main lineup, Evo France 2025 has a few side tournaments. 2XKO is the biggest and arguably the most interesting among them. The game entered the early access phase just a few days before the event, and the level of hype around it is tangible.

Tournament details, big announcements, and final results at Evo France 2025

The highest-tier qualifiers take place at Evo France 2025! Many top players attend the event to battle for the standing points and direct invites to the global finals. Such a stage is a proper place to announce the next DLC characters!

Street Fighter 6

The Street Fighter 6 (SF6) tournament at Evo France 2025 is the Premier qualifier of the Capcom Pro Tour 2025. The winner advances directly to the main official event, Capcom Cup 12. The top players earn an increased number of standing points.

Such high stakes bring the strongest players to the event. We can witness matches of Punk, the Evo 2024 Champion, Big Bird, who won Red Bull Kumite this year, Xiaohai, the SF6 EWC 2025 winner, and many others.

Leshar is the Street Fighter 6 Evo France 2025 Champion! He won over Tokido in the semifinal and kobayan in the final. After a defeat in the grand final, Leshar still managed to recover and secure the title in the decisive match. This Evo title feels a logical step for Leshar after winning Combo Breaker and CEO in 2025.

As Leshar already qualified for Capcom Cup 12, the spot goes to Blaz.

The next DLC character to join Street Fighter 6 is C. Viper. The release date is Oct. 15. Right before Evo France, Capcom showed this Outfit 4 for Zangief.

TEKKEN 8

As a Master+ qualifier of the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 (TWT 2025), Evo France rewards the TEKKEN 8 top placements with higher amounts of standing points.

Arslan Ash, the Evo 2025 Champion, JeonDDing, the local favorite as Team Vitality sponsors him, and Knee, who won Evo Japan 2025, are among the notable participants.

In the top 8 part, Arslan Ash started with Anna but than switch to Nina. He made it to the grand final via losers side, reset the brackets, and won the decisive match against JeonDDing.

Armor King joins TEKKEN 8 on Oct. 14, and Bandai Namco Entertainment has already revealed gameplay for this character. Evo France 2025 treated us to the next big announcement: the Miary Zo trailer was shown before the top 8 brackets.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves

The SNK World Championship 2025 happens from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 as part of DreamHack Atlanta. The FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves (FATAL FURY: CotW) players at Evo France 2025 battle for one of just three remaining qualification spots.

Some of the biggest names in the SNK community are here, even if they have already advanced to the finals. Kindevu qualified from the Saudi Fighting League Season 4 Major, despite losing two grand finals in a row to yunwu. Poongko won Vegas Climax V at the beginning of October. Such players as mok, Tyurara, and Xian have another chance at Evo France 2025.

Guilty Gear Strive

The Arc World Tour 2025 is up and running, and Evo France 2025 is a Platinum+ qualifier for Guilty Gear Strive. The winner advances to the Global Finals.

The Evo 2024 Champion, Nitro, participates in this tournament. Leffen, Tiger_Pop, and Zando join him, which makes the level of competition extremely high.

Tiger_Pop is the Guilty Gear Strive Evo France 2025 Champion! He fell into the losers brackets after the semifinal versus PataChu. In tough elimination matches, Tiger_Pop defeated Verix, the AWT 2023 winner, and Nitro, the GGST Evo 2024 Champion. In the grand final, Tiger_Pop won over PataChu twice — he swapped the character for this.

It was Summit who brought A.B.A first to the stage. However, she did not work for him. Tiger_Pop learned that lesson well and did what Summit couldn't. A.B.A winning Evo? This twists highlights how versatile the GGST meta is!

At Evo 2025, Arc System Works revealed Guilty Gear Strive 2.0, the next chapter for their game.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

It’s another major title of the Arc World Tour 2025 and a Platinum+ qualifier. A direct invite for the winner and an increased amount of standing points are the rewards for the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising players at Evo France 2025.

gamera, who won Battle Arena Melbourne 15 this year, Skyll, who reached the grand final at UFA 2025, and Ryazo, who was in the top 6 of Combo Breaker 2025, are among the players to watch out for.

Usagi is the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Champion at Evo France 2025! It's a great achievement for the player, as previously she was 3rd place at UFA 2024 and Kayane Cup 2025.

Another players is worth mentioning, too. Pixi made it to the grand final via losers brackets, and he defeated gamera on the way, a three-time Evo Champion.

Meg is the next DLC character to join Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. The release date is Oct. 15. It was revealed alongside the Meg gameplay trailer at Evo France.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

The glorious days of the global Dragon Ball FighterZ (DBFZ) competition are over, but the game is still very popular in France. Some of the best players come from this country, so it feels logical to have DBFZ at Evo France 2025.

Hikari, the winner of the last DBFZ World Tour, Yasha, who won some of the biggest events for this game, and WADE, the Champion at UFA 2025, are among those who showcase the final versions of Dragon Ball FighterZ at this tournament.

Quite surprisingly, Bandai Namco Entertainment pulled off an update for Dragon Ball FighterZ. During Evo France 2025, they revealed a balance patch and a new character joining the game.

Also, the game is featured at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026. It will be DBFZ Masters Showdown with some of the greatest players: GO1, SonicFox, Wawa, Hikari, Wade, and Yasha.

Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact

This event is the peak of the esports lifespan for the Hunter x Hunter fighting game. It’s interesting to witness what the dedicated players can do in this tag-team environment.

2XKO

The wait is finally over: after a pretty long development period and a few beta tests, 2XKO entered an early access phase. In this state, the League of Legends fighting game is present at Evo France 2025, as a side tournament.

Various fighting games celebrities signed up for this competition: SonicFox, Wawa, Leffen, and others.

As for the upcoming fighting games, Evo France has MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls available to play in the venue.

In 2027, Evo expanded its regional presence to Singapore. Evo Japan 2026 traditionally happens in Spring, from May 1 to May 3.
