DAN DA DAN returns soon for Season 2, bringing back our favorite quirky friends for even more epic battles and bizarre adventures.
Following the huge success of its debut, Crunchyroll officially renewed DAN DA DAN for Season 2. The anime earned an impressive 4.9 rating on the platform and secured 14 nominations at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
DAN DA DAN Season 2
DAN DA DAN Season 2 is coming on July 3 with more fun and weird events. It follows the story of two friends, Momo and Okarun, who must fight the paranormal forces invading Earth. The new season will drop on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, Muse, ADN, and other streaming platforms.
This is great news for the fans expecting to know what happened after the Season 1 epic ending. You won't have to wait long because DAN DA DAN is back on the screens in less than two months. If you don't know DAN DA DAN, here is the synopsis from Crunchyroll.
"When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue—Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power, and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world."
DAN DA DAN Theatrical Release
DAN DA DAN will also get a theatrical release outside of Japan. Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye, featuring the first three episodes of the new season, will premiere in cinemas starting July 6. If you are in North America or Canada, you can already buy your tickets from GKIDS.
While the specifics of the international rollout remain unconfirmed for other countries, sources have revealed that the theatrical release will include exclusive interviews with the show's creators, Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora.
