The veteran IGL will leaves Team Liquid at the top.

Team Liquid has announced a change to its Dota 2 roster and will part ways with Neta "33" Shapira. Shapira has been with the team since November last year and was the team’s IGL. The announcement closely follows Team Liquid’s victory at The International 2024 where they secured the most coveted trophy in Dota 2 esports.

33 Parts ways with Team Liquid

After nearly a year together with Team Liquid, 33 is parting ways with the organization. In a now-deleted social meda post, Team Liquid revealed 33 will no longer continue with the roster. The announcement comes shortly after Team Liquid’s TI13 victory, which marked the end to a season that was not so great. However, with their victory at Elite League Season 2 and then followed by TI13, the team peaked at just the right moment - when it mattered.

Team Liquid won TI13 after a 3-0 victory over Gaimin Gladiators to lift the trophy. After finishing second in the Group stage, Team Liquid had an undefeated move through the Playoffs upper bracket to secure victory. Their playoff run includes 2-0 wins over Xtreme Gaming, Cloud9 as well as Gaimin Gladiators.

With this change, it will be interesting to see how the new Team Liquid shapes up. 33 was one of the newest members of the team with most of the roster staying the same since2019. Nisha is the one of the exceptions having joined Team Liquid in 2022. 33 joined the team after zai announced an indefinite hiatus from Dota 2 esports last year.

Update: Team Liquid’s social media handle announced the news via a tweet, however, the tweet was subsequently deleted. At the moment it is not entirely clear what is the status of Team Liquid and 33.
