Talon Esports will clash against HellRaisers in an elimination series at the Lima Major. Keep up with the live results here!
It is the third day of the Lima Major Playoffs and Dota 2 fans will see one more team face elimination. The first series of the day will be Talon Esports vs HellRaisers in the Lower Bracket. Talon Esports was just knocked out from the Upper Bracket by the tournament favorites, Team Liquid. Meanwhile, HellRaisers barely made it to the Group Stage and would play their first Playoffs series today.
Based on the overall performance and their Group Stage results, Talon Esports is definitely the favorites coming into this matchup. Talon had an impressive showing in Group A, securing the Upper Bracket even amongst powerhouses like the TI10 and TI11 champs.
HellRaisers, on the other hand, played the Lima Major with a deformed roster, fielding Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev instead of Nikita "Daxak" Kuzmin, and barely crawled out of the Group Stage alive. Both teams will clash in this elimination series - one will advance to play against Team Spirit and one more will return home empty.

Series recap: Merciless dominance by Talon Esports
The first game of the series began disastrously for HellRaisers. The team fielded an early game draft that required them to snowball but instead, Talon was mercilessly stomping the lanes. Yuragi's Slark faced a nasty Snapfire-Tiny duo that was able to burst the fragile hero quickly. At one point, Talon pulled a neat fight at the top lane to secure a 6K net worth lead at minute 15.
At minute 20, HR wanted to force Roshan. Talon contested the play but in the midst of their initiation, Jabz paused the game due to lag. After a moment, the game continued and immediately, HR turned the fight around. Despite losing three of their players, it was a good trade for HR and they found a bit of balance.
However, that trade wasn't significant enough to kickstart any momentum. Talon was disciplined and controlled every corner of the map. 23savage's Lina was insanely farmed and Mikoto's Puck was a nuisance to handle. HR attempted to defend high ground but there was no answer to Talon's aggression.
Here is a performance comparison between Mikoto who played Puck and Kiyotaka who played Outworld Devourer in game one.
Game two of the Talon Esports vs HellRaisers series sees a similar dominance by Talon in the early phase. But HR put up a stronger fight than they previously did. In terms of net worth, HR's cores were leading and only topped by Jabz's Nature's Prophet. Despite the closer game, Talon took multiple great fights to keep on punishing HR.
Soon after, HR managed to catch Oli-'s Elder Titan and grabbed themselves a free Aegis as Talon decided not to contest. But that Aegis did not help HR gain that much advantage as Talon continued to take valuable trades and fights.
Throughout the mid-game, there were glimpses of hope for HR. But as the game dragged on, 23savage's Sniper was filling his inventory slots and soon became unstoppable. Talon read the opponent's moves well and punished their mistakes. They knocked on HR's base and stomped them convincingly, forcing the EEU team to call GG at minute 43 - the same duration as the first game.
Talon Esports eliminates HellRaisers and will advance to the next round of the Lower Bracket where TI10 champions, Team Spirit, await. This matchup will take place tomorrow at 02:00 AM SGT. Meanwhile, HellRaisers will return home with no prize money and no DPC points.
