PGL Wallachia Season 3 runs from March 8-16, 2025.

PGL has released the list of eight direct invited teams for the PGL Wallachia 2025 tournament. The list of eight teams includes some of the best in the scene. The tournament features a massive prize pool and the remaining eight teams will earn their spots via regional qualifiers. 

Which teams have received a direct PGL Wallachia invite?

  • Team Liquid
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Aurora Gaming
  • Team Falcons
  • Heroic
  • Team Spirit
  • Tundra Esports

Team Liquid finished second at ESL One Bangkok losing to PARIVISION in the Grand Finals. The winners of the The International 2024 were one of the favorites to receive a direct invite to PGL Wallachia 2024. Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, and Aurora also make the cut to play the LAN in Bucharest in March.

Regional Qualifier Dates

Eight teams have received direct invites for the tournament, and eight more will qualify from regional qualifiers. There are five regional qualifiers that will send teams to PGL Wallachia Season 3. Western Europe and Eastern Europe will send two teams each.

Meanwhile, SEA, South America, North America, and China will send one team each to the LAN event. All six regional qualifiers kick off on January 12 and run for four days ending on the 15th of the month. 

  • Western Europe Closed Qualifier: Two teams - (January 12-15)
  • Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier: Two teams - (January 12-15)
  • Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier: One team - (January 12-15)
  • South America Closed Qualifier: One team - (January 12-15)
  • North America Closed Qualifier: One team - (January 12-15)
  • China Closed Qualifier: One team - (January 12-15)

The Western Europe Qualifiers and the South East Asian one will see the most competition. There are some big-name participants in the WEU qualifiers including the likes of OG, MOUZ, Nigma Galaxy, and more. Southeast Asia has Talon, BOOM, and Mongolz in competition amongst others. 

PGL Wallachia 2025 is a 16-team Dota 2 event that takes place at the PGL Studios in Bucharest. The tournament kicks off on March 8 and will continue for over a week. It comes to an end on March 16, with one team taking home the majority of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
