TI 2024 WEU Qualifier: OG’s road to TI ends after loss to NAVI Junior

OG fails to qualify for TI for the second year in a row.

OG is eliminated from The International 2024 (TI 2024) Western Europe (WEU) Qualifier after a rough 0-2 loss against NAVI Junior. This marks the second consecutive year that OG failed to make it to the grand International.

OG will miss the Copenhagen TI

It has been a wild, wild day for OG and its followers. Just this morning, hearts were racing to see if Ceb will be able to play for the team and avoid disqualification from the qualifier. With the captain back in position, everything seemed well at first. But OG was still on the verge of elimination.

The team had to square off against NAVI Junior in the Lower Bracket. Despite being the favored team in this matchup, OG proceeded to lose 0-2 against the team of young underdogs, ultimately sealing their elimination.

OG will not be attending TI 2024 despite the event being held in the organization's homeland in Copenhagen, Denmark. But we can certainly expect members of OG and its prominent social team to make an appearance during the grand event as they typically bring their programs to attending fans.

OG had to play in a bizarre state

OG's performance has been quite shaky throughout the qualifier so far. But this particular elimination could also be contributed from Ceb's possible exhaustion. He had been tending to his wife for the birth of their first child just yesterday and would rush back to bootcamp to compete. OG failed to qualify but nonetheless, the community congratulates the now-father figure for a new chapter in life.

With OG out of the WEU TI Qualifier, only five teams remain. Team Secret is currently playing against PSG Quest in the Lower Bracket, with NAVI Junior ready to take on the winner of the series. Meanwhile, in the Upper Bracket, Entity and Tundra Esports are waiting for their turn to battle.
