Hellraisers today announced the departure of its last roster, its Dota 2 stack, stating that it was “not ready to be active in Esports.”

EEU esports organization Hellraisers has today announced that it is withdrawing from esports, stating that it is no longer “ready to be active” in the industry. The withdrawal was announced on the morning of March 2, on the team’s official Twitter.

The organization, whose only remaining roster was that of its Dota 2 stack, will seemingly end esports operations for the foreseeable future. The team, which confirmed its qualification qualified for the Berlin Major just yesterday, will reportedly continue with the roster and management, albeit not under the HR banner.

That roster, which currently consists of Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov, Matvey "MieRo`" Vasyunin, Vladislav "Antares" Kertman, and Alexey "Solo" Berezin has a number of upcoming tournament appearances. Besides the Berlin Major, which the former Hellraisers roster qualified for as the number one seed from EEU, the squad is set to compete in both Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #1 and DreamLeague S19.

The end of Hellraisers?

With the dropping of their final team, this looks like the end of Hellraisers for the time being. The team organization parted ways with its CS:GO team in March 2022, citing issues with the war in Ukraine.

Hellraisers had been a small but relatively successful organization within the CIS and EEU region. However, with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the organization, whose players, staff, and corporate structure are spread around the region struggled to stay together. Despite a relocation to Serbia, the org has become the latest to fail in the wake of the coming esports Winter.

Hellraisers former Dota 2 roster will be in action on April 4, in the Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #1, facing off against Alliance or Team DogChamp. A victory could send them to a potential clash with Old G in the Quarterfinals.
