PGL Antwerp RMR Qualifiers Conclude: 52 Teams locked in

The PGL Antwerp RMR Qualifiers have concluded setting the 52 teams that will contend for the 24 slots at the upcoming Belgian Major.

After weeks of grueling single-elimination online matches, the PGL Antwerp RMR Qualifiers have concluded. 52 teams have made the cut for the first RMR cycle of 2022. These teams range from the world number one, NaVi to the Argentine squad Leviatán at 155. Here are all the teams that will be competing for a spot at the Belgian Major.

Americas: 6 Major Spots

In the combined Americas region, Brazil's best Furia was the only team with a guaranteed spot as they maintained a majority of their top-16 roster from the previous major. Open qualifiers across the Americas completed the other 15 slots for the RMR. Notable teams like GODSENT and Sharks failed to make it through the gauntlet but most other favorites passed the test.

The 16 teams will compete at the swiss-system RMR from April 11-14 fighting for the 6 available Major spots (1 Legend, 2 Challenger, 3 Contender).

Asia: 2 Major Spots

With none of the Asian teams making the top 16 at PGL Stockholm, all 4 slots were up for grabs at the PGL Antwerp RMR Qualifiers. 4 Open Qualifiers determined the teams that will compete for the 2 contender spots at the Major in a double-elimination RMR on April 15-16. This included the controversial finals where Chinese squad Lynn Vision beat Australian youngsters LookingForOrg to lock the Middle East Spot at the RMR.

In the combined EU-CIS Super Region, 19 spots were awarded to teams coming from the 5 PGL Antwerp RMR Qualifiers. With 18 out of the top 20 teams in attendance, the event is absolutely stacked. Notable absentees are K23, ECSTATIC, SKADE and, Apeks.

The EU-CIS region teams were split into two group of 16. The groups will play in Swiss format events with 7 Legends, 6 Challengers, 3 Contender Spots on the line across the two events.
