Bymas returns to competition after nearly a year on the sidelines.

British esports org Into the Breach has added two new players to its roster before IEM Cologne. Joining the squad are Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras and Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar.

Into the Breach qualified for IEM Cologne 2023 due to their standings in the ESL World Ranking. The team currently has 189 points and is 23rd in the ESL World Ranking just above Imperial Sportsbet.

Earlier this month, Into the Breach, parted ways with Sebastian "volt" Malos and Cai "CYPHER" Watson who were with the team since February. The move allowed them to improve their firepower and hopefully refresh their chances at Cologne later this year.

"In the wake of Volt and Cai leaving, we're welcoming two young players with Tier 1 experience to finalise our roster heading into IEM Cologne and CS2. We spent a great deal of time scouting, talking and ultimately concluding on NEOFRAG and Bymas - confident that they'll both align with our vision and fit the dynamic of the team. Our aim is to maintain our place in the top 15, continue our attendance of high-calibre tournaments and grow our legacy through CS2. I believe we've got the right team to do just that.”

Return of Bymas

This move will also mark the return of Bymas to international competition. He last played for MOUZ and his last tournament was at IEM Cologne 2022. It’s been almost a year since he competed in international events and his presence in Into the Breach this year will put him back in the spotlight. Undoubtedly, ITB is not as strong a roster as MOUZ was, but it should still allow the 19-year-old to display his skills and boost the team’s chances of placing higher at the event.

Meanwhile, NEOFRAG went inactive on OG late last month after the team benched the youngster. He was a crucial component of OG’s run last year, but now finds himself on Into the Breach with a potential clash set-up against his former team.
