Siuhy benched by MOUZ, CS2 fans left in disbelief

Siuhy leaving MOUZ wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card.

Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek is no longer MOUZ's in-game leader, the organization announced on January 2025.

Siuhy has been an integral part of MOUZ's success in Counter-Strike 2, however, the organization and the Polish IGL are going separate ways, perhaps even permanently.

"Siuhy will be stepping into an inactive role as a result of different visions for the team's direction," MOUZ said in an official statement. "Ludvig 'Brollan' Brolin has been appointed as the new in-game leader. Adrian 'xelez' Vincze from MOUZ NXT will serve as a stand-in for the upcoming IEM Katowice."

MOUZ also announced that moving forward the AWPer Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás and the rifler Dorian "xertioN" Berman will undertake "expanded responsibilities" within the team. It's likely that MOUZ will go on the hunt for a new IGL as Brollan recovered his individual form last year and never called strats before.

This shocking roster change comes days after MOUZ lost to underdogs BetBoom at the BLAST Bounty Season 1. The loss cost MOUZ their life at the tournament.

The timing for benching siuhy is awful as most teams already finalized their rosters for 2025, so there aren't many proven players, especially IGLs, looking for teams.

Siuhy is widely considered one of the best IGLs in the world, not to mention he had good synergy with the players and the coach as everyone but Brollan came through MOUZ NXT. Under his guidance, MOUZ became a solid top five team in the world and won back-to-back editions of ESL Pro League.

Hours after siuhy's benching, Sheep Esports reported that the Israeli star Lotan "Spinx" Giladi, currently benched on Vitality, is on his way to join MOUZ. While Spinx would provide a firepower boost, Brollan or someone else would have to take the IGL duties full-time.

Siuhy will be a major asset in the CS2 market should he not return to MOUZ

As good IGLs are hard to come by, we can expect siuhy to become a massive shadow for every IGL out there. He has come up with a great tactical system for MOUZ, is still just 22 years old, and provides decent firepower.

Teams like Vitality and FaZe Clan, especially, could monitor this situation closely. They have good IGLs in Dan "apEX" Madesclaire and Finn "karrigan" Andersen, but they're not getting any younger. And they also didn't win many trophies last year.

Falcons and Team Liquid could also go for siuhy in the future in case Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dunkel, respectively, don't work out.
