CS2 fans will definitely keep an eye on poii from now on.

Alex "poii" Sundgren, one of Sweden's top CS2 prospects, just broke the regulation kill record previously set by Team Spirit superstar Danil "donk" Kryshkovets. The EYEBALLERS rifler truly carried his teammates against Zero Tenacity on Anubis as he finished the map with 39 kills and just 15 deaths in 24 rounds.

It's been only eight days since donk had set a new record with 38 kills in regulation after an outstanding performance against Wildcard at ESL Pro League Season 20 on Sept. 9. Although what poii did on Sept. 12 is amazing, it's worth noting that he broke the record in an online game, so donk still holds the CS2 regulation kill record in a LAN environment.

Without poii's carry, EYEBALLERS certainly would have lost this map (Image via <a href="https://www.hltv.org/matches/2375555/zero-tenacity-vs-eyeballers-cct-season-2-europe-series-11" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HLTV.org</a>)

Shortly after the match was over, a lot of members of the CS2 community started to ask the same question: Who is poii?

While what poii accomplished is nothing but incredible, he's still unknown to most CS2 fans. The 17-year-old player has been competing since December 2023 and made the jump from Lilmix to EYEBALLERS during the player break in June.

Jesper "JW" Wecksell, a CS:GO legend and three-time Major winner, called poii "Sweden's next superstar" when the youngster joined him in EYEBALLERS.

Should poii keep this level of performance moving forward, it won't take long before a bigger organization tries to acquire him from EYEBALLERS. A lot of teams in the scene nowadays focus on poaching youngsters to develop them instead of signing veterans.

The last few days in CS2 esports have been intense as M80 and Fnatic also set a new record for the longest CS2 map ever played.
