PGL reveals Copenhagen 2024 RMR locations

The three RMR events take place across February and March 2024.

PGL is set to host the first CS2 Major ever with PGL Copenhagen 2024. Today the tournament organizer unveiled more details about the RMR events preceding the Major including their location, the registration details, and more.

Where will PGL RMR events take place?

The PGL RMR events will take place at three different locations in 2024. The RMR events will take place in Bucharest, Monterrey, and Shanghai. 

  • Bucharest (Europe A, B, and LCQ)
  • Monterrey (Americas)
  • Shanghai (Asia)

Here are further details about each of the three RMR events

RMR Bucharest

  • Date: February 14-24
  • Regions: Europe A, B and LCQ

The Bucharest RMR takes place from February 14-24, 2023. With a focus on European teams, this RMR will undoubtedly be the biggest and most competitive one. It will feature both the European RMRs and also host the Last Chance qualifiers.

RMR Monterrey

  • Date: March 1-4, 2024
  • Regions: Americas

Monterrey in Mexico will play host to the Americas RMR. The Americas RMR event will play host to teams from the Americas region - which includes both North America and South America. It will be interesting to see which teams come out from the Americas RMR after four days of intense competition.

RMR Shanghai

  • Date: February 26-28, 2024
  • Regions: Asia

Eight Asian teams will converge in Shanghai, China to try to secure their spot at the CS2 Major. The Shanghai Major will take place from February 26-28, 2023, and will send the best from Asia to the Copenhagen CS2 Major.

The Copenhagen CS2 Major is the first ever Counter-Strike 2 Major. The 2024 event will give participating teams a unique opportunity to cement their name as the winner of the first-ever CS2 Major in history.

With a $1.25 million prize pool, there’s a very lucrative added incentive for players to perform well. The RMR events will not feature a live audience despite taking place on LAN.
