Well done, MOUZ.
MOUZ cruised past Vitality 3-0 on May 12 to win ESL Pro League season 19 in Counter-Strike 2.
With this victory over Vitality, the international squad featuring Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás, Dorian “xertioN” Berman, Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek, Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo, and Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin have successfully won EPL back-to-back.
After all, the same MOUZ squad but with David “frozen” Čerňanský in place of Brollan, won the final edition of EPL in CS:GO last year in October with a 3-0 victory against Natus Vincere in the grand finals.
MOUZ vs Vitality: What happened in the ESL Pro League season 19 grand finals?
The maps picked for the grand finals were Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, and Vertigo, but the match finished after the first three maps as MOUZ completely dominated Vitality across the series.
MOUZ stole Vitality’s first map pick Inferno with a 13-9 victory off the back of a great CT side (9-3) in the first half. The action moved on to Mirage and this time around, MOUZ took advantage of their strong T side (9-3 again) to comfortably win the map by 13-8.
If Vitality had any hopes to fight back on Nuke, they got absolutely shattered after MOUZ once again shut them down in the first half thanks to an impressive 10-2 victory on the CT side powered by torzsi’s AWP prowess. Vitality couldn’t break MOUZ’s momentum and Nuke finished 13-5 in MOUZ’s favor.
While only Lotan “Spinx” Giladi finished with a positive K/D ratio in Vitality, all MOUZ players had a great impact in the fragging department. Siuhy had the highest K/D (+19) and xertioN got the most frags (56).
Who was the ESL Pro League season 19 MVP?
MOUZ’s in-game leader siuhy was named the MVP of ESL Pro League season 19 after the grand finals. Vitality’s superstar Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was well ahead of everyone in the MVP race, but lost it in the end as he had no impact in the grand finals.
