It’s a remarkable Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports event! The best teams gather in Malta to kick off the offline competitive season.
Eight teams qualified for the LAN Finals from the online qualifier of CS2 BLAST Bounty Winter 2026. Some names on this list are pretty surprising.
The offline phase of this tournament continues the unusual rules of matchmaking and prize money distribution, typical for the entire Bounty series. Lower-seeded teams can select their opponents ahead of the quarterfinals and the semifinals. The strength of each team, or their VRS and tournament successes, determines how much cash their downfall can bring.

Challenging the top teams
The intrigue of this and other Bounty tournaments is whirling around clashes of underdog teams and big favorites. At this event, this plot took interesting twists even during the online qualifier. And the battle continues in the finals.
FaZe Clan and NAVI fell victim to smaller opponents: EYEBALLERS and Monte, respectively. Eventually, we have some unusual teams in the top 8 brackets.
- GamerLegion, HEROIC, and PARIVISION have a chance to shine at the start of this competitive season. The challenge is tremendous for them, though.
- Can Team Liquid be good again? Many people look forward to seeing this legendary esports organization restore its Counter-Strike glory.
The favorites to take the hit
The top teams are certainly ready for such matchups! The underdogs may be out even in the semifinal, and each esports betting platform reflects this with the odds.
- FURIA and Vitality are the biggest favorites at this point. Their match would be a fire grand final at BLAST Bounty Winter 2026.
- Team Falcons play without their head coach, as Danny "zonic" Sørensen headed home after the qualifier: his brother passed away. Also, Falcons replaced Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin with Matej “Nucleonz” Trajkoski at the last moment.
- Team Spirit came to this event with a refreshed roster. Fans hope the new/old Spirit can become real contenders for CS2 esports trophies — again.
These CS2 pros will only be able to enjoy a short break after this event, as the next big Counter-Strike 2 tournaments start shortly. IEM Krakow 2026 is from Jan. 28 to Feb. 8. It’s the first LAN event of 2026 with Playoffs in a big arena.
