The CS2 market crash inspired a bunch of memes.
On Oct. 22, Valve Corporation dropped a Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) update that sent the community into a frenzy. The update allowed players to trade five StatTrak Covert items for one StatTrak knife. It also allowed them to exchange five regular Covert items for one regular knife item or one regular gloves item. The CS2 skin update inspired a bunch of memes across social media as well, with players joking about losing thousands of dollars in virtual items and poking fun at the chaos.
CS2 skin update results in memes galore
One popular post and variation of the Two Guys On A Bus meme was illustrated by lkfnsv. In this meme, one character looks out the window and sees the tanking CS2 market. Meanwhile, the other character sees the brighter side of things. That is, due to decreasing values, items have become more accessible to players.

"CS2 knife trade up update literally the most goated thing to come out of CS in years," Ralseii wrote. "I can actually afford a knife at a reasonable cost soon. I feel like a high schooler again with knife prices being affordable. I actually can't believe my eyes!!"
Mark "ohnePixel," Zimmermann also posted a video on X before going live on Twitch to talk about the situation. He shared the video below made by TheSnipingSnake as well.
Another user, beehhive, stated the CS2skin account on X got suspended after posting the edit below. In the video, the character shows off CS2 weapons.
