Complexity’s slipup secures ill fate for top American teams: CoL vs. Liquid matchup

Do or die for the top NA squads.

Team Liquid and Complexity are set to battle it out in the final stages of the Americas RMR. Complexity’s loss to FURIA means we’ll see one of the two best American rosters ousted before the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024 begins.

Complexity’s upcoming final opponent, Team Liquid, has had a few missteps in the Americas RMR gauntlet — and now it’s a do-or-die encounter. You’ll likely see a lot of disappointed North Americans today.

CoL vs. Liquid in the Americas RMR in CS2

Either the mishmash Team Liquid roster or backsliding Complexity will make it through to the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024. While the lower half of the Americas can be excited, the Northern hemisphere is likely reeling after a series of unfortunate losses. CoL vs. Liquid is set to destroy a portion of the NA scene's dreams.

Liquid’s close encounter with FURIA might’ve been the catalyst for their RMR demise. The international lineup lost by three rounds in their matchup against the Brazilian squad. Their future opponents in Complexity managed to fair slightly better in their best-of-three matchup. However, Complexity had two more attempts to squeeze past the Brazilians.

Complexity almost made it through the RMRs unscathed. They beat the likes of Elevate and BOSS, leading to their matchup against FURIA. Their best-of-three loss spells the end for one of North America's best teams before the real battle has begun.

Alongside this potential disaster for the North American scene, their M80 compatriots are set to tackle Legacy, front-lined by the legendary coldzera. Coldzera put on a masterclass against MIBR to stay alive in the Americas RMR. Whether he can muster up enough firepower to do so against M80 is yet to be seen. If he doesn’t, a second North American org will book their ticket to the next stage of the Major.

On the bright side, at least one American-based org will make it through to the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024. There is a chance we’ll see two scrape through if M80 can best Legacy.
