The CCA Summer Series 2024 consists of three distinct phases. Eligible North American college teams will be split into East and West Conferences for Open Qualifiers and League Play. From there, only the very best will have the privilege of facing off in the Championship.

Open Qualifiers

The East and West Conferences will each have two Open Qualifiers consisting of a double-elimination bracket. The Top 8 from each of those Open Qualifiers advance to that Conference's League Play. Once the Open Qualifiers conclude, there will be 32 teams qualified for CCA Summer Series 2024 League Play.

  • Open Qualifier 1: Saturday, June 15th
  • Open Qualifier 2: Saturday, June 29th

The CCA broadcast team will be jumping around the Open Qualifier brackets streaming matches from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT (12 to 5 p.m. EDT) on the College Carball Twitch Channel. The further a team makes it in the bracket, the better their chance of being featured on stream.

Programs that wish to showcase their talented members when not on the official broadcast may also apply for Team Stream approval in the CCA Discord. Those approved will be able to tream their team's matches and have their broadcast promoted by CCA.

League Play

CCA Summer Series 2024 League Play is an intense round-robin format divided into an East and West Conference with 16 teams each. They will have four weeks to schedule, play, and report scores for one best-of-five match against every other team in their Conference. The teams who manage to climb to one of the top six spots in each Conference will advance to the Championship.

  • League Play Week 1: Monday, July 1 - Sunday, July 7
  • League Play Week 2: Monday, July 8 - Sunday, July 14
  • League Play Week 3: Monday, July 15 - Sunday, July 21
  • League Play Week 4: Monday, July 22 - Sunday, July 28

CCA will work with teams to schedule four broadcasted matches during every week of CCA Summer Series 2024 League Play. These matches will have the spotlight on the College Carball Twitch Channel from 5 to 9 p.m. PDT (8 p.m. to 12 a.m. EDT) on the days listed below.

  • Week 1 broadcast: Wednesday, July 3
  • Week 2 broadcast: Wednesday, July 10
  • Week 3 broadcast: Wednesday, July 17
  • Week 4 broadcast: Wednesday, July 24

Programs that wish to showcase their talented members when not on the official broadcast may also apply for Team Stream approval in the CCA Discord. Those approved will be able to tream their team's matches and have their broadcast promoted by CCA.

Separating themselves from the masses during Open Qualifiers and surviving four weeks of grueling League Play rewards teams with a spot in the CCA Summer Series 2024 Championship. The six best from each Conference will play best-of-seven matches in a hybrid double-elimination bracket to determine a winner.

The entire Championship takes place across the first weekend of August. Four matches occur on Day 1, six on Day 2, and four or five (depending on bracket reset in grand finals) on Day 3. Every second of these matches will be broadcast on the College Carball Twitch Channel as scheduled below.

  • Championship Day 1: Friday, August 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. PDT (8 p.m. to 12 a.m. EDT)
  • Championship Day 2: Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. PDT (1 to 7 p.m. EDT)
  • Championship Day 3: Sunday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT (1 to 5 p.m. EDT)

At the weekend's conclusion, one team will emerge victorious and be able to boast the title of CCA Summer Series Champion until the tournament returns.
