You know duos. You know quads. But what is Unhinged Mode in Warzone 2? This new game mode is totally different than what you’re used to.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is a big hit in the battle royale scene. Streamers, pros, and competitive players have been busy grinding the game since it released. But many have noticed that there's a new game mode called Unhinged Mode.

Unhinged is a brand new game mode in Warzone 2 that is totally different from the usual battle royale formula. It's focused on the game's proximity chat feature. Players can use their ping wheel to ask other players if they can join their squad.

If accepted, the two teams can merge together. The maximum squad size is six players. Having a large team in a battle royale is something brand new to the genre.

Unhinged Mode creates an entirely new dynamic to Warzone 2. A new strategy revolves around finding the right teammates to add to your squad. But you also don't want to be too picky or take too long since you might come up on a team that's already has six players, leaving your smaller team vulnerable.

Right now, Unhinged Mode is only available for trios. But developers are looking into creating Unhinged Mode for different squad sizes in the future.
