The New York Subliners have revealed their new roster. Who will join the squad in the fight for a championship?
The New York Subliners roster has officially been announced. The team consists of three-time World Champions Clayster and Crimsix. They will be joined by young phenoms HyDra and newcomer Neptune.
New York Subliners roster could be the best one yet
The team announced Friday that both Clayster and HyDra will be re-joining the team. After being unexpectedly released from Dallas in the off-season, Crimsix will also be joining New York. Finally, coming off of a solid rookie season, Neptune will be brought on to complete the team of four.
The Subliners have been very unpredictable during the last two seasons of the CDL. They have usually tread around the top five range. Although, their results have been disappointing considering their potential. They have only one event win dating back to July of 2020 at the New York Home Series.
They decided to take a new approach heading into the Cold War season. The departure of ZooMa, Temp and Accuracy, allowed the team to bring in both experience and young talent. The additions of both Clayster and eventually HyDra paid huge dividends to the team. The Subliners would finish a season-high second place at the Stage 3 Major.

What to expect in 2022
New York has gone through complete roster overhauls for the third consecutive season. While two players hardly seems like an overhaul, there is a new changing of the guard in the Big Apple.
Crimsix brings in the veteran experience that matches Clayster’s. The two of them know what it takes to win, and that will be critical to the success of the team. On the other hand, there are two young stars in the making ready to make an impact. HyDra had a terrific rookie season. Now that he has had time to the North American lifestyle and gameplay, the french phenom will once again be outstanding.
Neptune is the only question mark on this New York Subliners roster. During his rookie season on Florida, the 19-year-old showed signs of brilliance at times. However, on a bad Mutineers team, he wasn’t able to showcase his talents at a top-level. Joining the Subliners is the best-case scenario for Neptune. With the makeup of this team, he is poised to have a breakout season and solidify himself as a top player.
This New York Subliners roster is an instant championship contender. The mix of veteran leadership and young talent will make for maybe the best lineup the CDL has ever seen (outside of FaZe). The Subliners will not lose very many matches in 2022, so get excited New York fans.
