Best strap in and get ready to drop into Verdansk as the “mid-season update” for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is near at hand.

The patch notes for the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 update are now live. As per every major title update, Activision/Treyarch has released a road map for the remainder of the season. These roadmaps are great for players as they can prepare to move into season 3 in a few weeks.

New multiplayer maps

One of the least popular Call of Duty maps Miami is getting a revamp, the setting will now be in the day time with adjustments made to improve the quality of life experience while playing on the map. The improvements to the map gave Treyarch an opportunity to give the map a new name. Miami will now be known as Miami Strike moving forward. Miami will be available to players from launch.

  • Mansion - This map will be available in 2v2 and 3v3 modes and will be accessible on launch.
  • Golova - This will be a mutli-team map and will be available to players on launch.

New mutliplayer modes

  • Multi-team Hardpoint: Players are in for a fun and chaotic treat with the introduction of multi-team hardpoint. Ten squads of four will battle it out in the titles most chaotic mode to date.
  • Prop Hunt: The fun game mode will see Satellite and Miami Strike added to rotation.
  • Gunfight tournaments: Gunfight regulars will now get the opportunity to test their wits in the new competitive mode. Players will square off in a bracket based tournament with the winner receiving unique rewards.

New Outbreak region

Zombies lovers will get to experience a new region in the outbreak mode. The new region takes players to the Ural mountains on a new map called Sanatorium Night. This also comes with a new objective for the outbreak story.

"The objective for Secure is straightforward, but your survival is less guaranteed. Squad up and call down the Essence Conversion Modules from orbit. These rocket-powered collection capsules siphon Essence from the undead and convert it into items you can use in combat. Two new operators

During Season 2 reloaded, players will get the opportunity to use two new operators.

Firstly Wolf: "Terrell Wolf perfected his skills as a hunter in the Louisiana bayous surrounding his grandparent’s home. Entering service on his 18th birthday in memory of his fallen brother, he now stalks more dangerous prey as an elite Delta Force sniper working alongside Woods in the search for Russell Adler." Rivas: "Karla Rivas grew up in Nicaragua surrounded by the Menendez Cartel and their ceaseless wars with rival gangs. Her firsthand experience of the consequences of these wars on the surrounding communities drove her to action against the Cartel’s influence, using guerilla tactics to weaken them by any means necessary. Her skills are unparalleled in the continuing search for Adler."

New sniper rifle added to Black Ops Cold War

During Season two reloaded, a new sniper rifle will be available for players to use on the battlefield. The ZRG 20mm is built different, players will excel with this weapon from extremely long distances with its head-shot kill damage and its fast reloading sped. This sniper rifle can be acquired through in-game challenges or the "Jackpot Sniper" bundle.

Black Ops Cold War players should already be able to play the on the new update while Warzone fans will have to way until 11PM PST tonight to access the update.
