The NFL heads to Ireland with a new Paddy Power partnership.

Paddy Power is the official sportsbook partner of the National Football League (NFL) in Ireland and the UK for the upcoming season. This brings betting, fan engagement, and a free-to-play game to NFL events in both countries.

Paddy Power and NFL betting

As the official NFL free-to-play game partner in the UK and Ireland, Paddy Power launches NFL Showdown as well. In NFL Showdown, punters predict match results for their chance to win weekly jackpots and special prizes. Players also enter a leaderboard for their chance to win Paddy Power rewards.

Michelle Spillane, the managing director of marketing at Paddy Power, shared her thoughts about the partnership, stating that the company is excited to be the NFL's new sportsbook partner. "NFL as a sport is reaching new heights across the UK and Ireland, and with the [first-ever] game taking place in Ireland at the end of the month, there felt like no better time to come on board," she added.

Spillane then talked about the free-to-play game, highlighting that it provides weekly entertainment for punters. "And we can’t wait to enhance the fan experience around the Dublin and London games with events, activations, and the usual Paddy mischief," she said.

Henry Hodgson, the general manager of NFL UK and Ireland, shared Spillane excitement about the partnership as well. He said that Paddy Power's innovative approach to fan engagement and their love for sports entertainment aligns with the NFL's goals.

NFL heads to Ireland

According to the official announcement, Paddy Power will be present at UK and Ireland NFL games this year, including three matches at Wembley and Tottenham Stadium in London plus the aforementioned regular season debut at Croke Park in Dublin. This game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings will mark the NFL's first regular season game on Irish soil.

The Paddy Power and NFL betting partnership will also give Paddy Power access to game footage so that the company can bring NFL-centric entertainment to its customers.
