Sports betting and iGaming operator BetMGM has updated its terms of service to prohibit the harassment of athletes.

BetMGM updates terms

According to the official announcement, BetMGM will suspend customer accounts if they’re found using harassing or abusive language toward athletes, coaches, or team and league personnel.

“We are unwavering in our commitment to sports integrity — and that commitment extends to safeguarding athletes, coaches and league personnel,” Rhea Loney, BetMGM’s chief compliance officer, stated. “Our legal, regulated environment enables us to identify misconduct, investigate reports, and take action when necessary.”

Loney then stated at any confirmed instance of harassment will result in decisive measures such as account suspension.
