Apex Legends' Aftershock event has some electrifying gameplay changes. Here are the details.

Electronic Arts (EA)’s upcoming Apex Legends update will turn Wildcard into an electromagnetic battlefield. Read on for everything you need to know about the Apex Legends Aftershock event, including its release date, duration, what to expect, details on the new Wild Cards, and more.

Apex Legends Aftershock event release date

According to EA, the Apex Legends Aftershock event kicks off on March 31 and goes on until April 21, giving players about three weeks to duke it out in an updated Wildcard game mode. This update features the Vortex Shield, limited-time cosmetics, plus rewards galore.

During the Aftershock event, every legend gets Vortex Shield that blocks incoming bullets and can fire them back. However, it uses up energy that players recharge by collecting EVO. Players can also use an EMP Blast to stun enemies and break objects and recharge their EMP Battery by blocking damage with their Vortex Shield, collecting EVO, or using Wild Cards. In terms of new Wild Cards, they will be Bigger and Better, Duck and Cover, Energy Efficient, Sonic Boom, Static Charge, Extra Juice, Background Process, Kinetic Converter, and Heat Signature.

Apex Legends Fuse prestige skin

As for the new event items, they include skins for Wattson, Ash, Pathfinder, Horizon, Crypto, and Gibraltar, weapon skins like the EVA-8 Hard Core, Havoc Technoforged, and CAR Static Discharge, plus a prestige skin for Fuse.

Apex Legends Aftershock rewards

Rewards, meanwhile, include an epic Lifeline skin plus banner frame, a tracker set, Aftershock Packs, and more. The first set is available between March 31 and April 10 while the second set can be unlocked between April 10 and April 21.

Apex Legends Aftershock Milestone Collection

There’s also a limited-time Aftershock Milestone Collection to get via either Aftershock Packs or the in-game store. Skins in this collection include Space Avenger Wattson, Robot Overlord Pathfinder, Red Dead Ronin Ash, Blind Ambition Horizon, Code Breaker Crypto, and Unbreachable Gibraltar.
