ALGS Open location officially announced to be New Orleans

EA have revealed the location for the first ever ALGS Open LAN. The event, which will be the largest ALGS LAN to date is taking place in New Orleans from May 1-4. The event features 160-teams, and awards $1,000,000 USD in prizing.

Additionally, this event will be the first chance for teams to lock in their spot at the season ending ALGS Championship.

This LAN looks set to be an iconic moment in Apex Legends history. There will be countless LAN debuts with so many new faces able to play at the event. There will also be a live crowd, with tickets on sale for the ALGS Open soon.

The ALGS Open will be the usual four day affair, taking place at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from May 1 to May 4, 2025.

The event features all of the 120 Pro League teams from around the world. They are being joined by 40 teams who are battling it out through the Preseason Qualifiers. This is where newly formed teams with familiar faces, and some brand new names will make their way onto the LAN stage for the first time.

The format will throw up all sorts of twists and turns, with an exciting double elimination bracket format. There is no Group Stage, so teams will need to hit the ground running or face an early flight home from New Orleans.

ALGS Open tickets will go on sale Tuesday, March 18, at 8 AM PT on Eventbrite.com, so make sure to act fast to secure your spot. There might never again be so many of the worlds best Apex Legends players under the same roof.
