Why have one LAN winner when you can have three?

100 Thieves look set to be a team to watch across ALGS Year 5 after announcing an all-star Apex Legends roster. Following the departure of both Dezignful and iiTzTimmy, 100 Thieves have added Verhulst and Phony who join up with previously existing player Genburten.

This combination means that there are no less than six ALGS LAN titles on this roster. That is in addition to several Pro League wins and seven figures of prize money.

Also remaining on 100 Thieves is coach Bronzey, who will continue to support the 100 Thieves roster.

100 Thieves announce new Apex roster ahead of ALGS Year 5

There has been a lot of focus on Team Falcons and their self described "super-team", but 100 Thieves now also have a claim to that mantle. Verhulst and Genburten are two of the games top controller players. On paper the pair look set to be an incredible combination.

They will be guided across ALGS Year 5 by Phony. A LAN winner with Spacestation Gaming, his desire to compete was further proved by his time spent in Thailand. With options thin on the ground ahead of Champs, Phony relocated to APAC South to keep competing. Now, he is back to North America and is ready to prove a point on this new 100 Thieves Apex Legends roster.

No one will begrudge Phony this exciting opportunity, with a chance to further cement himself amongst the games top IGLs.

100 Thieves and Falcons kick off a new era of ALGS rivalry

With both TSM and DarkZero fully out of Apex Legends (for now), it seems the next era of Apex Legends will be dominated by a Team Falcons and 100 Thieves rivalry. ImperialHal has already pointed out that this new 100 Thieves team features ex-teammates of himself and fellow star Zer0.

Team Falcons haven't quite lived up to expectations since forming. However, with two major super-teams in North America, could the two teams spur eachother on to reach even greater heights in Year 5?

The ALGS Pro League kicks off in April, closely followed by the ALGS Open.
