Trying to play the Tekken series in its intended order?
With the new release of Tekken 8, many are wanting to go back and explore some of the older Tekken games to try and get a better hold on the series's storyline. But exactly which order should you play the Tekken series?
Here is the order in which you should play each Tekken if you are wanting to explore the story in the correct timeline.
The order you should play the Tekken series in
The first Tekken was released back in 1994, and since then the series has had a total of eight titles. With the newest one just released, many are stepping back and playing a lot of the older games.
The best way to do this, too, is to play it in the game's intended order. So what exactly is the order in which you should play the Tekken series?
Well, simply enough, if you want to play the Tekken series in its correct timeline, then you just have to play the games in chronological order in which they were released.
Order in which you should play the Tekken series:
- Tekken (1994)
- Tekken 2 (1995)
- Tekken 3 (1997)
- Tekken 4 (2001)
- Tekken 5 (2004)
- Tekken 6 (2007)
- Tekken 7 (2015)
- Tekken 8 (2024)
It is a pretty simple list, as you just have to go in numerical order when playing the games. Still, though, if you choose NOT to play the games in this order, you will still have a great experience with each title.
