Who exactly is Jin Kazama’s father? You probably already know the answer… But just in case!
Jin Kazama is the main protagonist in Tekken: Bloodline, the Netflix show based on the Tekken series of fighting games. In the opening episode, Jin asks his mother, Jun Kazama about the identity of his father, but she refuses to tell him. So who is Jin Kazama’s father in Tekken Bloodline?
Jin Kazama’s Father
As any fan of the games will know, Jin Kazama’s father is Kazuya Mishima. Kazuya is the son of Heihachi Mishima. In the story of the games, Jun and Kazuya fell in love while the former attempted to rid the latter of the Devil’s influence.
However, at some point Kazuya fell victim to the Devil’s control, and Jun raised their child, Jin, hidden from his father and the Mishima family.
In the opening episode of Tekken: Bloodline, knowing the only way to save her son from Ogre was to reveal the truth, Jun sends Jin to find Heihachi, his paternal grandfather. Ogre’s mission is to destroy all those who hold the Devil gene, which was passed from Kazuya to Jin.

Why Jin Kazama and not Jin Mishima?
Jun gave Jin her own name for several reasons in the canon of the games. One was to hide him from those who wanted revenge on Kazuya or the Mishimas, but also to hide Jin from Kazuya himself. Additionally, taking on the Mishima name would put him in Heihachi’s firing line, as the elderly warrior has been known to be fiercely protective of both the Mishima Zaibatsu, and murder his family members.
