Get ready for the Pokémon GO Wild Area Global event.
The Pokémon GO Wild Area global is finally here this weekend. You can take part on Saturday November 23, and Sunday November 24 between 10am and 6:15pm in your local time zone. This is a brand new major event, which will feel a lot like the Tour and GO Fest events that we've had before. That makes this an amazing opportunity to grind in Pokémon GO.

Prepare your item bag
A key aspect to prepare is to take time to get your bag ready. You want to make sure you have a good supply of Pokéballs. Some of the spawns have pretty low catch rates (especially Mighty Pokémon and Pikachu) so you'll need a lot of balls. If your bag is full, throw away regular Pokéballs in favour of Great and Ultra balls.
You also need to make sure you have enough space for Pokémon. Pre-Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global is a great chance to clean out your bag. Trade, transfer all those Pokémon you don't need to clear as much space as possible. Remember Trading this season guarantees an XL candy, so this can be a good thing to do before transfering.
Finally, grab any Incubators, Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces that you want to use this weekend if you're prepared to spend some coins in the store. There are some good bundles avaliable to take advantage of.

Wild Area Mighty Pokémon Spawns:
Mighty Pokémon are a new concept. Mighty Pokémon will have better IV's, spawn at a higher level (so be a higher CP), and have a higher chance of being XXL. They will be harder to catch, and you will want to use new Safari Balls on them to have the best chance.
Here are the spawns, which will be different each day.
Saturday Mighty Pokémon Spawns:
- Pidgeot
- Golem
- Gyarados
- Luxray
- Scolipede
- Galvantula
- Tyrantrum
- Toxapex
Sunday Mighty Pokémon Spawns:
- Venusaur
- Poliwrath
- Dragonite
- Feraligatr
- Electrivire
- Mamoswine
- Elektross
- Dragalge
There are loads of great Pokémon here. Dragonite is an excellent Pokémon, as is Luxray, Gyarados and Mamoswine. Focus your efforts on these Pokémon!
Pokémon GO Wild Area Global Raids and Max Battles
There is a huge amount of Raids, Max Battles and Gigantamax Battles avaliable this weekend. To be honest, there is almost too much to take on!
We've pulled out some of the best Raids to consider, to help you prioritise your time this weekend.
- Snorlax wearing a studded jacket (Three Star)
- Toxtricity Amped and Low Key Form (Four Star)
- Origin Forme Dialga (Five Star)
- Origin Forme Palkia (Five Star)
- Primal Kyogre (Primal Raid)
- Primal Groudon (Primal Raid)
However, there is plenty of other ways to get Toxtricity this event. Toxel is in Eggs, and Toxtricity is also in Dynamax Max Battles and Gigantamax Battles.
Toxtricity will be in Gigantamax Max Battles across Pokémon GO Wild Area Global. We would suggest doing these Battles as a top priority, and to save your Max Particles from Friday to allow you to take on an extra battle.
Then, once you have done as many as you can (or, if there are not enough Trainers around) you can move onto taking on Toxtricity in Dynamax Max Battles. If you need better counters, Excadrill and Drilbur are also in Max Battles.
Good luck for the event, Trainers! Stay tuned to esports.gg for the latest esports news and more Pokémon GO updates.
