In part, this is due to how many evolutions Eevee has, with there being eight in total currently. Getting your hands on all eight in Pokémon GO requires some specific methods, with "eveelutions" like Glaceon being tricker to get than just pressing the evolution button.

So, here are both methods to get your hands on Glaceon in Pokémon GO, including if this is even a Pokémon you should be worried about once you've added it to your dex.

There are two methods to evolve Eevee into Glaceon in Pokémon GO:

The name trick is an easy but limited way to get this evolution done. You should try not to use this if you can, besides for one specific time. To reach Level 42, you need to evolve Eevee into all the different evolutions. This is the best time to use the name trick for every option, as this makes this quest an awful lot easier.

Glacial Lure Modules are a premium item in Pokémon GO. That means they are expensive to buy, but they do spawn Pokémon at a faster rate than standard Lure Modules (the purple ones).

However, there are some ways to get Glacial Lure Modules for free so you can evolve Eevee into Glaceon in Pokémon GO. One of the best methods is by entering PokéStop Showcases. These run on Saturday until Sunday and Monday until Tuesday at selected PokéStops around the map.

Placing well in these Showcases can often earn you premium Lure Modules. If you don't get a Glacial one, you might get one you need for a different Eevee evolution, like the Mossy Lure Module.

Otherwise, you might find this Lure Module as a reward on certain Special or Timed Research in Pokémon GO. Unless you are desperate for Glaceon, don't waste PokéCoins on buying this Lure Module.

Glaceon is actually a pretty good Ice-type Raid Attacker in Pokémon GO. It is currently the 18th best Ice-type, ahead of options like Weavile, Aurorus and even the Legendary Pokémon Articuno. However, Ice-types aren't that useful in Pokémon GO and there are still some very powerful options that are better than Glaceon. But, for lower level or budget players, it is still a decent choice.

Glaceon isn't very good in Pokémon GO PvP, and there are better options to evolve Eevee into for those of you looking to battle in the Great, Ultra or Master League. Glaceon's best format is the Master League, where it ranks #124. However, options like Sylveon are better if you have a good IV Eevee.
