Harness the terrifying power of RNG with this Lickilicky ex deck build in Pokémon TCG Pocket!
Are you tired of using most of the meta decks in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
If you’re looking for some unusual strategies to shock your opponents in Versus mode, consider this deck that utilizes the promising damage potential of Lickilicky ex.
As one of the most overlooked cards in the Space-Time Smackdown set, it’s easy for most players to underestimate the capabilities of this Normal-type Pokémon ex.
Sure, it’s not that destructive compared to the game’s all-time powerhouses like Mewtwo ex and Charizard ex, but when paired with the right cards and some luck, it can become an absolute monster in the field.

How to play Lickilicky ex deck
To make this deck work, you need to set up the field for Lickilicky ex as fast as possible with the help of Dialga ex and the aggressive Skarmory.
Prioritize on using Dialga ex as your Active Pokémon at the start of the game. Put your Lickitung on the bench and let Dialga ex buy you some time while it also powers up your Lickitung with Metal Energies.
Once you evolve your Lickitung into Lickilicky ex, it should have enough Energies to perform its Licking Fury, a 100-damage move with a Misty-like mechanic. You get to flip a coin until you get tails, and every head will add 40 damage to Licking Fury.
Keep on spamming Licking Fury, and if you have RNG on your side, the game is yours.

Skarmory provides an extra option for you in the early phases of the game. Instead of playing passively with Dialga ex, you can use this card to wear down your opponent right away.
With just a Metal Energy and a Pokémon Tool, Skarmory can deal 50 damage as fast as turn two while still giving your Lickitung some turns to develop.

Professor’s Research is a staple draw engine for most Pokémon TCG Pocket decks. Moreover, Pokémon Communication and Poké Ball are there when you don’t have the Basic Pokémon that you need.
Dawn and Leaf

Leaf can prevent you from wasting the Energies attached to Dialga ex if you want to switch it with your Benched Pokémon. You can even reuse those Energies using Dawn.
Giant Cape and Rocky Helmet

These Pokémon Tools maximize Skarmory’s damage, and you can also use them to provide a layer of protection to Dialga ex and Lickitung, in case your opponent plays a gusting card like Cyrus.
Strong against
The Lickilicky ex deck can work well against slower decks, particularly those that require multiple evolution cards to function. Additionally, if your opponent has a squishy Basic Pokémon, your Skarmory will make short work of them even before you set up your Lickilicky ex.
Licking Fury still guarantees 100 damage even if you’re unlucky with the coin toss, so you have at least two turns to Knock Out most Pokémon ex.
Weak against
This deck build is obviously vulnerable to faster decks, especially those that use Fire and Fighting-type Pokémon. It’s also very easy to get frustrated if you fail to get any heads during the coin toss scenarios.
