While playing Overwatch 2, you may come across a friendly Ramattra player who gives you head pats for a job well done. These can occur before a match begins or even in the middle of one when it's safe to do so.
How to pet people as Ramattra in Overwatch 2
Giving other players a head pat is easy as Ramattra. Just go up to the player and hold down right-click as if you're going to place Ramattra's shield. Once you're done, face a location that cancels the shield.

If you're not using Overwatch 2's default controls for Ramattra, then the shield button for head pats may be elsewhere. You can check out and customize the hero's buttons by visiting the "Options" menu. Access this by launching Overwatch 2, clicking the "Esc Menu" button, and selecting "Options."
Next, click on the "Controls" tab, press the "Change Hero" button, choose Ramattra, and scroll down the "General" section. Under "Weapons & Abilities," you can make changes to the hero's controls.

How to head pat people as Sigma in Overwatch 2
Sigma is another hero who can give head pats to players. Similar to Ramattra, when a Sigma player uses their shield ability and moves their mouse up and down, it looks like a head pat. For added effect, the player receiving the praise can crouch down.
- Walk up to a player
- Activate Sigma's shield and don't let go of the button
- Move your mouse and cursor up and down
