New Game Mechanics in Bridge of Progress

The old "blue side" is Zaun, and the "purple side" is now Piltover. Depending on which side you're on, your Mark (snowball) Summoner Spell will change accordingly.

Hextech and Chemtech Mark

The Hextech and Chemtech Mark both read:

  • Throw a Hextech Grenade a long distance, dealing true damage to the first enemy unit hit and granting True Sight of the target. If it hits an enemy, this ability can be recast for 3 seconds to Dash to the tagged unit, dealing an additional true damage. Dashing to the target will reduce the cooldown of Mark by 25% and leave a trail for 7 seconds that grants Ghosted and 30% movement speed to Allied Champions.

Special Buffs

Both sides differ in the buffs they get from the Health Packs in the Bridge of Progress ARAM map.

If a champion from Piltover side picks up the health pack, they will gain the Council Member buff. This is visualized by a circle under the champion.

  • Council Member - Refresh your non-Ultimate abilities every 15 seconds.

If a champion from Zaun side picks it up, they gain Mad Scientist. The affected champion visually grows bigger or smaller.

  • Mad Scientist - Infected by Shimmer, you become either big or small. Gain damage and health when big; haste and movement speed when small.

These buffs last for 30 seconds.

There are also special, team-wide buffs that are gained by destroying the enemy team's Inhibitor. These buffs last for 3 minutes and remain even through death.

If the Piltover team destroys Zaun's Inhibitor, they gain Backup Battery.

  • Backup Battery - Reduce Summoner cooldowns to 15 seconds.

The Piltover player who gets the last hit on the Inhibitor gets the City Leader buff instead.

  • City Leader - Refresh your non-Ultimate abilities and summoners every 15 seconds.

If Zaun destroys Piltover's Inhibitor, they gain Mad Scientist for 3 minutes. The Zaun player who gets the last hit on the Inhibitor gets the Raid Boss buff instead.

  • Raid Boss - Become a Raid Boss, gaining size, health, movement speed, attack speed, armor, and magic resistance.
