How to add friends in Honkai: Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG developed by MiHoYo Studios, the Genshin Impact and Honkai: Impact 3 claim to fame. The game released on PC and console on April 26 and has received widespread acclaim for its music, storyline, and character development. Honkai: Star Rail does have a multiplayer experience, but the functionality is quite limited in scope. Here's how to add friends in Honkai: Star Rail.

Adding friends is not available right at the beginning. After completing the initial part of the story, you will board the Astral Express. It’s only after this that you can add friends and have them play some of your support characters in Honkai: Star Rail. 

The UID number is a unique identity number that is visible in the bottom left corner of the screen. Every person has a unique UID number.

You will also have to ensure that both of you are playing in the same region. When you load the game, the game usually asks you to confirm which region you want to play in.

Honkai: Star Rail does not have a co-op mode. You cannot play the game similar to how you could play Genshin Impact with friends.

But you can add friends as we've explained, so why would you be able to do that? In simple terms, you can borrow your friends' supportive characters for use in Calyxes and Caverns of Corrosion.

Your friend will not be able to play alongside you full time similar to Genshin Impact.

Your friend will also need to have a support character equipped in order for them to join your game. Also when their support character joins your game, they will adjust to the appropriate levels for your game.
