How to join a match
Joining a match in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is a simple task. However, if you don’t know the steps, it can take some time to navigate.
Once you’ve booted up your game and relived your childhood, all you have to do is:
- Choose either Star Wars Battlefront 1 or 2
- Choose your player profile
- Select Multiplayer
- Next, choose Join (If you’re playing Battlefront 2, you’ll have to select Search instead of Join)
- Once it’s loaded you’ll see a list of available servers
If you push up on your analog stick, you’ll be able to change the map, era, ping, and server. Sometimes you will have to type in the specific thing you’re looking for. You can also sort by pressing triangle.

How to host a lobby in Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection
Hosting is slightly different in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection. Don’t stress, we have all the steps set out for you here.
- Instead of clicking Join or Search, choose Create Match
- Make a server name then begin adding the planets and game types you want (This is slightly different on both. Simply add a map to BF2 by clicking add and choosing your planet. As for BF1, you have a different appearance and you press R1 to bring it across to the selected maps section.)
- Then Click Launch to begin your match
It’s as simple as that. Now, you’ll be hosting or joining the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection and playing with a collection of other gamers.
