Genshin Impact: Kuki Shinobu, Build and Farming Guide

How to build Kuki Shinobu. Check out his farming list as well as the Best Artifacts.

Kuki Shinbou is a four-star Electro sword-user from Genshin Impact. She is primarily a support character ho can slot into a DPS role when built correctly. She can be a fierce addition to a Mono Electro team, and is a good support character to slot into other builds that need Electro reactions to occur. On top of reaction damage, she is also able to heal the team with her elemental burst. Before you go putting her on your team though, you will need to do a bit of farming. In order to make Kuku Shinobu shine, she needs to be leveled, have the right build, and be on the right type of team.

Best Weapons

Kuki Shinobu is a four-star character, so she doesn't have a specific gacha weapon that you need to concern yourself over pulling. While the best weapon for any character is usually a five-star it isn't a make-or-break piece of gear for Shinobu. Instead, she can get by with four-star weapons, including some swords that were obtained from in-game events.

Here are the best swords to use with Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact:

  • Primordial Jade Cutter: Shinobu recieves a 20% increase to her health. Her attack will also be increased by 1.2% of her max health.
  • Festering Desire: Elemental skill damage is increased by 16% and Shinobu's crit damage is increased by 6%.
  • Iron Sting: Shibou's elemental damage is increased by 6% to 12%. This effect can stack twice.

Festering Desire and Iron Sting are both free-to-play friendly. Festering Desire was given out for free during the first Dragonspine event, and Iron Sting is a craftable weapon. Primordial Jade Cutter is a five-star weapon, so you will need to get lucky when pulling on its weapon banner.

Keep in mind that your sword needs will also change with the Shinobu you want to build. For example, if you are looking at causing large amounts of Electro, it's best to go with one of the four-star options above.

Best Artifacts

Artifacts are the most important equipable items in the game. Artifacts will make or break the characters you equip them to. Kuki Shinobu is a character that scales based on her health. This means that artifact sets that help up her max HP are the way to go.

Here are the best artifacts to use with Kuki Shinobu:

  • Ocean-Hued Clam: Shinobu will receive 20% health bonus. In addition, a piece of foam will appear and then explode three seconds later dealing 90% of her healing and overheal in damage.
  • Tenacity of the Millelith: Her health is increased by 20% and the party will get an extra 20% to their attack when elemental skills damage an enemy. In addition, shield strength will be increased by 30%, both of these buffs will last for three seconds.
  • Pale Flame: Shinobu gets a 25% increase to her physical attack damage and if she damages an enemy with her elemental skill, she will receive a 9% attack buff that can stack up to two times. This will last for seven seconds at a time.

Artifacts are quite easy to get as they are free to farm with resin in the game. Keep in mind what you want to use Kuki Shinobu for on your team. If you need a healer, then Ocean-Hued Clam will be best. For an off-field sub-DPS build, you will want Tenacity of the Millelith. If you want to run Shinobu as your main DPS, then go for Pale Flame set.

Team Composition

Kuki Shinobu can be used in a wide range of team comps. She can provide both reaction damage and healing for your party. She can easily be used with several different types of characters. Kuki Shinobu can work well with other Electro characters as well if you are looking to form a powerful Mono Electro team.

Some characters she's being paired with are:

  • Sucrose
  • Kazuha
  • Ayato
  • Tartaglia
  • Xingqui
  • Beidou
  • Fischl
  • Raiden Shogun
  • Venti

Many of these characters are combined together to make a few different team comps. For example, using Tartaglia and Ayato with Shinobu can help you to make a Taser Team. The best way to make a team is to look at the characters you already have and plan around them. Shinobu isn't usually a main DPS, and even as a burst support, she is pretty flexible.
