Where to find the Giant Turtle in Fortnite Chapter 6

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is here, and there's so much to explore, from new weapons to new movement mechanics. However, the map is easily the most intriguing aspect of the season, bringing a vibrant atmosphere with 18 named points of interest (POIs). One unnamed location in Fortnite Chapter 6 is a literal Giant Turtle, also known as The Great Turtle, that spawns in one set area on the map. Here's where to find the Giant Turtle.

You can find the Giant Turtle in the forest area northwest of the Lost Lake POI, as marked on the map above. The Turtle doesn't offer much, but it's worth visiting in the new season. It's an adorable and peaceful creature. Once landing here, you will find various Sprites and Sprite Shrines in the area, a few Chests on top, and some Slurp Barrels that will heal you. The Giant Turtle also generously offers a Launchpad, making a rotation across the new Fortnite map seamless.

The video above perfectly captures the serene atmosphere surrounding the Giant Turtle. However, if you encounter enemies, it won't be as calming; we recommend visiting the Turtle, which many players have already begun naming.

Many reputable Fortnite-related social media accounts, including Osirion, have posted the name "Terry the Turtle." It's unclear whether this is the Turtle's name since Epic Games did not provide a name in the Chapter 6 Season 1 blog post. Unfortunately, the blog post did provide a backstory of the Turtle, calling it "a venerable old soul, searching for its lost partner."

That's enough to make you tear up, especially after visiting the kind creature. Hopefully, as the seasons develop, the Giant Fortnite Turtle many are calling Terry will find its partner.
