Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher is now unlockable in Fortnite!

Fortnite’s collaboration with The Witcher is now live in-game for those with the Battle Pass. Epic Games revealed this “Gaming Legends Series” crossover ahead of Chapter 4 Season 1, and you can now unlock Geralt of Rivia. There are currently six cosmetic items available. To unlock them, players must complete five Quests.

Here’s a complete guide that explains how you can collect all six Fortnite x The Witcher items, including Geralt of Rivia.

Five Quests stand between you and The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia in Fortnite. These challenges went live in today’s update. Each Quest is relatively straightforward, especially if you have played Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. After completing each Quest, you’ll unlock a Witcher-themed item.

Here is a list of the rewards and the challenges required to unlock them:

  • Geralt of Rivia Loading Screen – Activate augments in different matches (0/5)
  • Weapons of the Witcher Back Bling – Defeat a boss (0/1)
  • Muscle Memory Spray – Complete bounties (0/3)
  • Igni Sign Emote – Emote in The Citadel Throne room
  • Witcher’s Steel Sword Harvesting Tool – Deal melee weapon damage to opponents (0/500)
  • Geralt of Rivia Outfit – Complete all five Quests

Quest One: Activate augments in different matches

Reality Augments are a new mechanic introduced in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. It’s a perk system that grants you unique abilities for the duration of each match. We have published a guide to explain this system. To keep this short, you will need to activate a Reality Augment in five games to complete this Quest.

Quest Two: Defeat a boss

The second Geralt of Rivia Quest is also simple, considering there is currently only one boss character in the game. The Ageless Champion, also known as Geno, spawns at The Citadel, so you should be able to take care of Quest two and four in one match. This boss is quite strong, so you might refer to our guide to help take him down. After eliminating the boss, you’ll unlock the Back Bling.

Quest Three: Complete bounties

Bounties are a system introduced by Epic Games back in Chapter 2, and they’ve remained a core mechanic ever since. In Fortnite, there are various bounty boards located across the landscape. You must approach the board and accept the in-game Quest to retrieve a bounty. Then, you can either eliminate your bounty target or wait until someone else does. Either way, repeat this process three times, and you will receive credit for the challenge.

As mentioned, you can complete Quest two and four in one match if you avoid all other opponents. To complete Quest four, land at The Citadel and perform any Emote. You should see the “challenge completed” ticker on your screen if done successfully.

Quest Five: Deal melee weapon damage to opponents

The final Quest is unquestionably the most challenging in the Geralt of Rivia Fortnite questline, requiring you to deal 500 melee damage. Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 offers only two melee weapons you can use in-game; the Shockwave Hammer and your trusty Pickaxe. The Shockwave Hammer should be your go-to option to complete this Quest. However, Epic Games has dramatically reduced the spawn rate of this item.

You can find a guaranteed Shockwave Hammer by defeating the Ageless Champion boss mentioned above–he carries a Mythic version of the weapon. The only other way to find a Shockwave Hammer is in Oathbound Chests, but this has become difficult over time. Shockwave Hammers deal 125 damage to enemies, so you will need to hit enemies four times to complete this Quest.

After finishing these five challenges, you will complete the sixth challenge, which automatically unlocks the Geralt of Rivia Fortnite skin.
