Need a break from Fortnite? Or are you simply just done with the Battle Royale for good? Luckily, uninstalling the game is quite simple, on both PC and console.
Here is how you can uninstall Fortnite.
Fortnite: How to uninstall the Battle Royale
Uninstalling Fortnite is a bit different on each platform. None of them prove to be difficult, but each platform still has its own steps you have to follow if you would like to uninstall the popular Battle Royale.
How to uninstall Fortnite on PC:
- Open your Epic Games launcher
- Click on the THREE DOTS below Fortnite
- Click uninstall
Yep, it is literally that easy. The game will completely uninstall from your PC, deleting all of the files associated with it. Luckily, all of your data is still stored within Epic's system, so you can jump in where you left off if you ever decide to re-download the game.

- Turn on your console
- Click the START button on your control when selecting Fortnite
- Click uninstall
After that, Fortnite will officially be deleted from your console. Just like with PC, deleting the game does not delete your data within the game. Whenever you choose to download Fortnite again, you will have all your skins, progress and more.
How to uninstall Fortnite on Switch:
- Go to Settings
- Go to Data Management
- Click on Software
- Choose Fortnite
- Click Delete
Deleting the game on the Nintendo Switch is a bit more tedious than other platforms, but still quite simple. Once gone, all you have to do is go back to the Nintendo eShop to re-download Fortnite. Just like PC, Xbox and PlayStation, your data will automatically be saved by Nintendo after deleting the game.
