The Quick Weapon Draw feature in Fortnite has been a big hit for controller competitors since it was first released years ago. But now, it seems like many are finding that the recent update to the game might have renewed the feature.



So did Fortnite get rid of Quick Weapon Draw?

The big question many people are asking is whether or not the Quick Weapon Draw feature is still in Fortnite. 



While the update seems to have removed the option for controller players, it seems like this was a mistake on Epic's end. Luckily, many have confirmed on Reddit and Twitter that they had contacted Epic Support and Quick Weapon Draw is being added back into the game as soon as possible. 



Hopefully, we see the feature added back into the game by the end of the day, but it could take a little longer than some may hope for. 



What is Quick Weapon Draw?



Curious as to what Quick Weapon Draw in Fortnite is? Well, if you are a keyboard and mouse player, then this is something you are already accustomed to. For the longest time, controller players didn't have the luxury of pulling out whatever weapon or item they wanted on command. 



Originally, only keyboard and mouse players were able to press a button and immediately have a shotgun or AR. With controller, you would have to shuffle through items using L and R. Obviously, this put controller players at a huge disadvantage.







Eventually, Fortnite released the Quick Weapon Draw feature for controller players. What this feature does it allow players to bind specific weapon slots to specific weapons. Want to pull out your shotgun immediately? Press X. Want to pull out an AR on command? Press Y. 



You get the picture.



With this being out of the game again, many are having to adjust back to the old days while they wait for the feature to get added back. Hopefully, Fortnite will fix it sooner than later.

Many of you die-hard Rock Band fans may have never even heard of Fortnite Festival. So what is this game everyone is talking about? Is it just like the popular Battle Royale where players can run around and eliminate each other?







In short; no. Fortnite Festival is a game mode that was first released back in December of 2023, developed by Epic Games and the creators of Rock Band 4. It is essentially the same game as Rock Band 4 but allows players to play a bunch of new hit songs as their favorite Fortnite skin.



The game has been huge since its release and has become a staple within the Fortnite community.

Fortnite's new round of Story Quests has players stumped, especially regarding the following challenges:




Did I leave it under the windmill with a view of the Styx?



Maybe on a grassy island in the middle of everything?



I left it near the snow, where people bury yummy bones, too.




These three Quests fall under the Cerberus' Snapshot line; this guide explains how to complete all three.



How to complete the "maybe on a grassy island" Fortnite Quest







Provided you have completed the prior two Quests, your next step is to complete the three mentioned earlier. First, you must head to the grassy island depicted on the map above. After landing here, you will see an exclamation point on your mini-map and a small mound of dirt you can interact with. 













Your next step is to hit the mound of dirt with your pickaxe, which will unearth a "dog toy." Pick up the dog toy, and you have completed the Quest.






How to complete the "did I leave it under the windmill with a view of the Styx" Quest







After finishing the "maybe on a grassy island" Fortnite Quest, you can head to the following location marked on the map above. This area is slightly northeast of Grim Gate, where you will find the second dog toy. 













Like the previous Quest, you will find an exclamation point on your map and a small mound of dirt. You must follow the same steps: hit the dirt mount with a pickaxe and collect the emerging dog toy. If done correctly, you will see the "Quest Complete" notification and proceed to the next.






How to complete the "I left it near the snow" Fortnite Quest







Now that you've completed the "maybe on a grassy island" and windmill Fortnite Quests, the final one takes you south of Classy Courts. The location on the above map houses the last dog toy required in this questline. 













Like before, you will notice an exclamation point on your mini-map and above the mound of dirt. Use your pickaxe again to dig the mound of dirt,

Those looking to unlock the Black Pearl Nano Suit must acquire all 49 collectible cans in the game. These cans of various beverages become more prominent once you have met with Adam and Lily and reached Xion. 



As you navigate through the somewhat desolate city, you will stumble across various vending machines. Some of these dispense drinks which you can acquire by interacting with the machine. After it doesn't work the usual way, Eve will kick it and a beverage will fall out. These are your key to the Black Pearl Nano Suit.






Where can I find cans in Stellar Blade?

























Vending machines containing cans exist in almost every significant area in the game. For example, we found several in Xion and another shortly after in the Wastelands. 



Although we don't have a complete list of the locations yet, your best and easiest place to begin is in Xion. From there, you will be able to identify each machine and add another can to your collection. The best part is you can fast travel to revisit areas you may have missed.

How to unlock the Black Pearl Nano Suit in Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade isn't all about slashing up Naytiba. You can enjoy some leisure activities, like collecting items, or even fishing. It isn't available right away, but once you get it, it can be a hassle trying to get used to fishing in Stellar Blade.






Let us guide you through unlocking it, casting the line, and catching enough to fish to get the Lonely Fisherman trophy.



How to unlock fishing in Stellar Blade

It isn't particular hard to unlock fishing in Stellar Blade. The toughest aspect of it is time. You have to play the game for a handful of hours, until you complete enough main story missions to reach the Great Desert.

Once you, Adam, and Lily travel to the Great Desert location, you can meet Clyde. Just head over to the small lake to the east of where your crew lands. Talk to Clyde, who isn't up for much a conversation. After, you can grab the fishing pole off to the side and take part in the minigame.

This begins the Looking Glass mission. You just have to successfully catch one fish, then Clyde will finally talk to you. Chat with him to learn his story, then you can truly begin fishing all around Stellar Blade after Looking Glass is completed and you've earned rewards, such as bate and Gold.

Once you have the fishing pole, you can find a fishing spot to cast. From there, if a fish bites, you've got to perfect the minigame to reel it in and catch it. Here is the order of controls you need to know to fish properly in Stellar Blade:




Hold Down on the D-Pad and select the fishing rod from the equipment wheel 



Press Down on the D-Pad to to equip the fishing rod 



Pull down and then push up on the Left Stick to cast

With the review embargo lifted on Stellar Blade, media website IGN came across graffiti in-game that when looked at next to each other appeared to read the phrase "Hard R". The term itself, while maybe harmless to the world at large, is considered a racist slur in particular in North America.  Sony quickly addressed the issue, calling it "unintentional" and announcing it would be patched.

Stellar Blade has a character who runs a shop as an information broker in-game. This character, called Roxanne, runs the "R Shop". The R Shop sign has a large R with the word shop written underneath it. Right next to it is graffiti that says the word "Hard". Unfortunately for the developers it visually came across as a "Hard R", which evokes a references to a racial slur, particularly in North America. Reviewers pointed out this unintentionally racist graffiti on Twitter, prompting backlash towards the game.

Evan "Verhulst" Verhulst has become a cult legend in the Apex Legends. He won EA's first ever positive player award, and is one of the games most liked players by both fans and his fellow competitors. Known as "Big E", a nickname he says he enjoys, Verhulst is among the stars of the ALGS circuit. 



Since moving to TSM back in late 2021 Verhulst has settled into the spotlight. TSM are heading to Los Angeles off the back of a near perfect year of LAN results in Year 3. They took first, second and first. Given the amount of variables across all those games of Apex, that is one of the gaming achievements of all time.



ALGS Year 4 has not been plain sailing for the defending Champions though. TSM had a bumpy Pro League split. However, in true TSM fashion, they pulled it back when it mattered most, taking the behind closed doors Regional Finals.



Esports.gg sat down with Verhulst ahead of the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs kicking off in Los Angeles, on May 2.

Verhulst admits TSM struggled to settle on who to play



It was uncharacteristic to see Verhulst and TSM languishing (by TSM standards) in 9th ahead of the ALGS Regional Finals. TSM had made a decent start to the ALGS Regional Finals, before it was disrupted by the much documented hacking incident, sitting in 5th.



However, it was still a surprise to see TSM perform so well in the resumed finals given their Pro League performances prior. It seemed like TSM were really struggling to find their way in the Season 20 meta.



Verhulst recalled exactly what was going wrong for TSM across those weeks.



"I think it's because we were trying to figure out our team composition and struggling with what to play. We were going from Valk, Seer, Horizon or Valk, Horizon, Catalyst. We were even trying Horizon, Seer, Catalyst. Also, we just swapped to Bangalore, which we were not really used to playing. We tried a bunch of team comps, we had to start learning how to play Bloodhound and using Caustic

Also, the current patch has been around for a long time, and we wanted to try out some new things, but it didn't work out. The team vibe has always been good, everyone is generally positive. Later on we will return to China for a rest, then prepare for the next tournament.

Fortnite's Lantern Fest event has returned for the first time since 2023, bringing players an entirely new creative map to experience. Dubbed the Lantern Fest Oasis, this <a href="https://esports.gg/news/fortnite/what-is-fortnite-creative-2-0-new-platform-explained/">Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN)</a> landscape offers players various challenges to complete in exchange for experience points (XP). Additionally, some previous and new skins are debuting as part of the event.



Here is everything you need to know about this annual event.

The Lantern Fest Oasis Island is now available to play in Fortnite. It provides players with a brightly-colored landscape. Various challenges will progressively unlock as the event proceeds, so checking back frequently is a good idea.

No great Fortnite event is complete without cosmetic items to bring it full circle. The Noorah and Anwar Otufits will appear later for new skins during Lantern Fest. Additionally, Middle Eastern content creator SirSANX will have a Locker Bundle, and <a href="https://esports.gg/guides/fortnite/who-is-sypherpk-a-look-at-the-famous-streamers-life-accomplishments-and-more/">SypherPK</a>'s Icon Series Outfit will return later this month.

What is different about this version of the LTM?

The <a href="https://esports.gg/news/fortnite/fortnite-chapter-5-season-2-patch-notes/">Chapter 5 Season 2</a> version, dubbed "Midas Presents: Floor is Lava," features an updated loot pool relevant to the current Fortnite season. You can enjoy <a href="https://esports.gg/guides/fortnite/every-new-weapon-in-fortnite-chapter-5-season-2/">weapons such as</a> the Gatekeeper Shotgun, Harbinger SMG, Huntress DMR, Warforged Assault Rifle, and more. Additionally, Midas created a pool of golden lava instead of regular lava.


The Chapter 5 Season 2 version, dubbed "Midas Presents: Floor is Lava," features an updated loot pool relevant to the current Fortnite season. You can enjoy weapons such as the Gatekeeper Shotgun, Harbinger SMG, Huntress DMR, Warforged Assault Rifle, and more. Additionally, Midas created a pool of golden lava instead of regular lava.

The fan-favorite "Floor is Lava" Fortnite limited-time mode (LTM) has returned triumphantly following the <a href="https://esports.gg/news/fortnite/fortnite-v29-01-patch-notes-the-rise-of-midas/">v29.01 update</a>. This game mode, which first debuted in Chapter 1 Season 8, progressively raises the lava beginning five minutes into the match. Chaos unfolds shortly after that, as players eliminate each other while building upwards until only one team remains. This article explains how to play the Floor is Lava Fortnite LTM and what you can expect.

Players can head to the "Play" tab in Fortnite's main lobby to play the LTM. Once there, scroll down until you locate the "By Epic" category. This section includes the more popular game modes, such as Battle Royale, Zero Build, Party Royale, Team Rumble, and more.



You can also find the Floor is Lava Fortnite LTM in this category. After you find it, click on the game mode followed by "Select." This action will return you to the lobby, where you can choose whether to queue into the game mode by yourself, with friends, or with random teammates. Make sure you turn on "Fill" if you would like to join a group of random players.
