Warner Bros. dropped the first trailer for Joker 2 yesterday (April 9), giving moviegoers an official look at the upcoming film.

So what does this trailer exactly show? Let's break down what we know so far about the plot.

The movie takes place after the events of the first. Fleck had been thrown into Arkham Asylum due to murder, and is assumedly on high watch, considering the majority of the trailer just shows him walking around with guards.

Yet, there seems to be a secondary character that gets the spotlight. Harley Quinn, also a part of the same asylum, notices Fleck as he walks by a room she is rehearsing some sort of asylum-led chorus in, as we see in the trailer.

They both lock eyes, already submitting themselves to one another. We then see a series of shots showing the two up on a stage, performing like they are in a musical. We do know that there are musical elements within the film, but will this be for real? Or just in Fleck's imagination?

Still, there are shots of the two back in the streets of Gotham, hinting at the fact that they do escape and become loved by all the fans Fleck already had from the first movie. Chaos ensues, as Joker: Folie à Deux prepares fans for the flight of their lives.
