Your horse has a slew of items to make it stronger and faster, including armor and saddles, but how do you equip them in Crimson Desert?
Your horse in Crimson Desert acts as a second character almost, as you can buy items for it, summon it in different locations, and use it in any outdoor location. When it comes to purchasing items for your horse, you can buy saddles, armor, horseshoes, and other upgrades that make it faster, stronger, and have more stamina. However, just because you can buy horse armor and saddles doesn’t mean those items are equipped automatically on your horse in Crimson Desert.
To find out how you can equip all of your horse items in Crimson Desert, take a look at the guide below.
How to equip horse armor and other items in Crimson Desert
Luckily, equipping all of your horse items is extremely easy in Crimson Desert and just requires you to press a few buttons. Here’s how to do it:
- In Crimson Desert, summon your horse and then mount it using X/Square
- Open up the inventory screen by pressing “Options” or “Esc”
- Look at the top left of the screen and you’ll see two names: Kliff and Herspia
- Scroll over to the Herspia tab and this opens your horse inventory
- From here, navigate to whatever horse items you have in your inventory and click on them
- This will equip them on your horse, which you can visually see on the left side of the screen
- You can equip horse armor, a saddle, horsehoses, and stirrups. There is a total of five slots for horse items to be equipped

It can be slightly confusing at first to even realize that there is a separate horse inventory in Crimson Desert, but once you know it’s there, everything makes much more sense.
Now, you can equip any horse item you’ve purchased. You can also equip all of the horse pre-order content that is available in the Deluxe Edition of Crimson Desert. You’ll have to physically claim those items in-game first, though.
