Crimson Desert offers some fantastic Deluxe Edition pre-order bonus items, but how do you claim them in-game?

The Deluxe Edition of Crimson Desert offers some great in-game content that is only attainable from pre-ordering the game. If you pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition, you’re receiving upgraded armor for both your character and your horse. This is a fairly big deal, as armor is extremely scarce in the early going of the game. However, for many players, they’re confused about how to actually go about claiming the pre-order bonus items from Crimson Desert’s Deluxe Edition.

If you’re in the same boat, then check out the guide below to figure out how to claim those items for yourself.

Claiming Deluxe Edition pre-order bonuses in Crimson Desert

For starters, let’s get this out of the way: there is currently a bug only affecting Steam players on PC that makes it so you can’t claim any of your pre-order content from the Deluxe Edition. The official Crimson Desert X account posted a statement saying that the developers are working on a fix for the problem.

So, if you’re on Steam around the launch of the game, you won’t be able to claim your pre-order bonuses, including the armor set, the horse armor set, and the upgraded shield.

However, for anyone not on Steam, and eventually those Steam users once a patch is sent out, take a look at the steps below to claim your Deluxe Edition pre-order items:

  • In Crimson Desert, go to the main menu by hitting “Options” or “Esc”
  • Scroll all the way over to the “Others” tab
  • In this tab, select “Add-Ons”
  • Here you’ll find all of the Deluxe Edition content that you were promised with your purchase of Crimson Desert
  • Once you claim these add-ons, they’ll be transferred to a Supply Chest
  • You can find Supply Chests at various locations around the map, but the easiest one to visit is just north of Hernand, the first town you go to
  • You’ll find the Supply Chest inside a tent next to a bed, and if you interact with it, you’ll be able to transfer all of your pre-order content to your inventory

Hopefully, the developers at Pearl Abyss figure out a way to deliver the pre-order items to Steam users quickly.

Another bug you might be wondering about is one with the Abyss Within Balance quest in Crimson Desert, and we also covered how to fix that.
