The next update in Black Ops 7 is coming soon.
Call of Duty fans won't have to wait long for the first major update of the new year. While 2026 has only just begun, Activision and Treyarch will soon be releasing the next major update, Season 1 Reloaded, in Black Ops 7 and Warzone. This update typically arrives around the halfway point between the current and next season, and we should expect that trend to continue.
Below, you can find out exactly when Season 1 Reloaded is slated to arrive in Black Ops 7 and Warzone.
Season 1 Reloaded release date in Black Ops 7 and Warzone
At the time of writing, Activision has yet to confirm the actual release time for Season 1 Reloaded. However, with the current timeframe for Season 2, which is scheduled to arrive in early February, there's only one possible date the update could launch.
That one possible date for Season 1 Reloaded is Thursday, January 8, and we should receive official confirmation of it within the coming days. Releasing on Jan. 8 gives the developers enough time to run an event or two (before Season 2) and give players nearly an entire month to use the content coming with the update. This content includes two new weapons, new multiplayer maps, and unlocks from the remainder of the Weekly Challenges in Black Ops 7 and Warzone.
We'll hear more about the content coming in Season 1 Reloaded when Activision releases its official blog post for the update, which should be posted on Jan. 5 or Jan. 6. This blog will also confirm the Jan. 8 release date for Season 1 Reloaded.
Following Season 1 Reloaded, players can expect Season 2 of Black Ops 7 and Warzone to arrive on Thursday, Feb. 5. This is when the current Season 1 Battle Pass is set to expire, and the Weekly Challenges stop at this point as well. While Activision could extend Season 1 by a week or two, that seems unlikely given the amount of content we're expecting with the next update.
